NANINIWALA ang mga pulis sa Cebu na nalansag nila ang malaking “paihi” syndicate nang masamsam ang P20.5 million na halaga ng patalsik o ninakaw na petroleum products na pinapatakbo ng 13 naarestong suspek sa Mandaue City noong Huwebes, ayon kay PNP chief General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.
Sinabi ni PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group director Major Gen. Robert Alexander Morico II na nasamsam ang patalsik na petroleum products sa Ouano Wharf sa Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City.
Na-recover sa 13 suspek ang 14 drums na puno ng diesel, 10 empty na petroleum drums at 6 na walang laman na containers, Bonggo truck, 6-wheeler Elf truck at 30-meter hose na naka konekta sa barko papuntang tanker.
Nasamsam ang mga “paihi” products ng mga miyembro ng CIDG Mandaue City Field Unit at CIDG Regional Field Unit 7, ayon sa report.
Thirteen suspects arrested during the sting are now facing criminal charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1865.
“We will not tolerate unauthorized petroleum operations that violate regulatory laws and compromise public safety. Those responsible will face the full force of the law. Hindi namin papayagan ang ganitong gawain. Ang sinumang lalabag ay pananagutin.
Our enforcement actions will remain consistent and sustained, especially in vital facilities such as ports and transport hubs,” sabi ni Gen. Nartatez.
