BRAZILIAN beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles doesn’t plan on rekindling her romantic relationship with her ex-husband, Kapamilya actor John Estrada. But the former couple recently reunited for their daughter’s birthday celebration earlier last week.
In her Instagram account, Priscilla shared a glimpse of daughter Sammantha Anechka’s intimate gathering on the latter’s 14th birthday.
Anechka is the only child of John and Priscilla.
Family members were also in attendance to celebrate the birthday of Anechka. Some of the attendees were her half-siblings, Inah, Moira and Yuan who were all smiling standing beside her. The children are John’s kids with former wife, Janice de Belen.
Priscilla then penned a heartwarming message for her daughter who turned a year older. She expressed her love and reminded her of how she is one her “life’s greatest joys.”
“Before the world ever tries to tell you who to be, remember who you already are: deeply loved, brilliantly you, kind at heart, strong in spirit, and beautiful in all the ways that truly matter,” she wrote.
“As you turn 14, know this – you will always have a place in my heart to call home. Life won’t always be smooth or fair, but you’ll never walk it alone,” she continued.
The celebrity mom made sure to impart a learning moment for Anechka in her letter – reminding her to believe in herself as much as her family believes in her capabilities.
“Never shrink yourself to fit someone else’s story. The world needs your full sparkle. Chase your dreams with courage, and know I’ll be right here, cheering the loudest and ready to help you find your way,” she shared
For the beauty queen, motherhood has been enjoyable because of her daughter whom she has been watching over as she grows throughout the years.
“Being your mom is one of my life’s greatest joys,” Priscilla told her daughter. “Watching you grow is like watching my favorite story unfold –surprising, inspiring, and sometimes wonderfully funny. Believe in yourself the way I believe in you. You are loved more than words can hold and more than hugs can show,” she ended.
“I did not want to stay in a situation I was unhappy. Two years ago, at peace na ako. Being a mother, I wanted to teach my daughter right. I did not want to normalize what is wrong in society.
Especially a society that men can do as they please, society accepts women just need to be quiet because men pay the bills,” she previously expressed.
In 2024, John broke his silence about the separation rumors surrounding him and wife Priscilla that had been circulating on social media. The Kapamilya actor took to his Instagram Stories to deny that he was currently seeing another woman while he and his wife are mutually taking a break from their relationship.
Priscilla, meanwhile, hinted to her fans about their rocky relationship and commented on their break up rumors.
John revealed through his statement that it was a mutual decision to take a break from their relationship of more than a decade. The FPJ’s “Batang Quiapo” star didn’t elaborate why there was a need for a break but he emphasized that he does not want to hurt the people he loves.
“Priscilla and I have mutually agreed to take a break for quite some time now,” said John. “There’s more to the story but the last thing I want to do is to hurt the people I love.”
He added that Lily Hallman, the name of the woman who allegedly was with him during his Boracay trip, was not someone he is currently seeing. He maintained that he only met her during his vacation in Boracay and nothing more.
“I want to make it clear that I am not in a relationship with Lily Hallman or any other woman for that matter. I just met her in Boracay. I had a short break from work and felt the need for a breather,” John added.
That wasn’t the first time that the couple were hounded with breakup rumors.
“This is a private family matter that’s why I ask for privacy as we deal with this. Thank you,” John ended.
Priscilla, meanwhile, toured her followers to the place where she was staying in the US as she got ready to fly back to Brazil. The celebrity wife was asked by a netizen about the alleged new partner of her husband.
“Idol, may new na naman ba si John? Grabe naman, napakaganda mo na para mag hanap pa ng iba,” the netizen asked.
“Ay, ano ba ‘to? Ganu’n talaga ang buhay… Wala, eh,” Priscilla answered.
Despite no confirmation about their relationship status, many netizens assumed that the two have called it quits already.
Priscilla then reminded her followers to “always be kind” to everyone as they don’t know the challenges others face.
“I want you to remind you all to always be kind.. we don’t know the battles of the other person, we don’t know what they are going through. Pero.. we should always remember respect, it’s the most important thing that exists,” she advised.
“We need to respect each people, hindi ko talaga kaya yung mga taong walang respect kahit kanino.. we need to respect mga magulang, mga asawa at mga anak,” she added.
The 42-year old Brazilian model-actress maintained that she had “enough” and people should be mindful about the consequences of their actions.
“I had enough, I have a voice. When you do things you need to be very careful about the consequences of the things that you do in life, we are all grown-ups. I refused to let it pass anything from this point onwards. I’m very patient, very kind and I’m a very forgiving person but to a limit,” she shared.
Priscilla and John celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary earlier that year. The two met in 2004 and tied the knot in 2011 at the Thunderbird Poro Point Resort in San Fernando, La Union.
After their break in 2024, John and Priscilla have not seriously reconciled and have been separated for two years now. They reconnected for the birthday of their daughter and that was as far as they went. They are apparently co-parenting now.
