Divorced na sina John Estrada at Priscilla Meirelles.
Ito ang kinumpirma ng dating beauty queen/model sa kanyang panayam sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” nitong Biyernes.
“We’re no longer married,” pagbubunyag ni Priscilla.
Pag-e-elaborate niya, “Which means being isang foreigner, may karapatan ako to divorce my husband. So, last year, I went to Brazil, and I started the process of, you know, divorcing him. Actually, not last year, 2024, bago actually mag-guest ako dito, I already went to Brazil.”
Hindi raw muna niya ito inanunsyo kahit kanino dahil hinintay niya muna na maging sigurado ang lahat bago niya ibahagi sa publiko.
When asked kung bakit siya nagdesisyong mag-file ng divorce, ayon kay Priscilla, hindi na raw kasi nagwo-work ang marriage nila.
“For me, the marriage is no longer valid. I don’t see myself, you know, sharing a life with that person anymore,” pahayag ng ex-wife ni John.
Isinaad din ni Priscilla na 14 years niyang ipinaglaban ang kanilang marriage.
“I fought for 14 years and I got to a point where hindi ko na kaya snd I realized after a lot of things had happened that the best thing for me is really to move forward mag-isa,” aniya.
Tinanong ni Boy Abunda kung ano ang naging reaksyon ni John tungkol sa divorce at sagot ni Priscilla, “He was not happy. Actually, the first sentence he had was, ‘Pri, bakit ginawa mo ‘yan?’”
Ayon pa kay Priscilla ay wala na raw siyang future na nakikita with John.
“Our interests are not aligned anymore, our values are not aligned anymore, the things that we look forward to are not aligned anymore. We’re just sharing a home.
“So, it doesn’t make sense to me to be stuck in a relationship where you don’t have much to share with that person and you don’t see your future with that person,” pahayag ng Brazilian beauty queen.
Sinabi rin ni Priscilla na ginawa niya ang lahat to save their marriage.
“I’ve warned him many times and I tried so many ways, I tried to fight him, I tried to be quiet, you know, I tried so many things to save the marriage. I tried to go to the church, we went to psychiatrist, we went to couple’s therapy, I did a lot,” pagbablik-tanaw ni Priscilla.
Pero wala raw nangyari dahil magkaiba raw ang kanilang mindset.
“I wanted to save my family and he was having fun mag-isa,” aniya pa.
Once and for all ay nilinaw din ni Kuya Boy kung talaga bang nagkaroon ng third party at natatawang sabi ni Priscilla, “Tito Boy, ang dami sila, eh. Hindi 3rd lang, 4th, 5th, 6th, buong barangay yata.”
Nalungkot din daw ang kanilang anak na si Anechka pero sinabi raw nito sa kanya na ang pinakamahalaga ay happy siya at naiintindihan nito ang kanyang naging desisyon.
