Stat Attack: How the URC teams are shaping up with playoffs looming

This weekend’s URC action brings us one step closer to the playoffs. With 12 teams still in contention for a top eight finish, there is a whole lot to play in round 15.

HOW THINGS STANDS

Round 15 of the United Rugby Championship arrives with the play-off race still wide open. Twelve teams remain in contention for one of the eight coveted spots, and the standings are tight enough that one result can scramble the entire picture. From Glasgow’s dominance at the top to Zebre Parma’s struggles at the bottom, every match this weekend carries genuine consequence.

The URC’s Round 15 is shaping up as one of the most consequential weekends of the season, with the play-off picture far from settled. League leaders Glasgow have been the standout side, while the Lions lead the competition’s scoring charts and the Bulls have surged into the top-eight conversation.

Mid-table sides like Cardiff, Connacht, and the Sharks are pushing hard to secure their places in the post-season. At the other end, Edinburgh, Dragons, and Zebre Parma face a different kind of pressure as they look to avoid finishing the season in the league’s basement.
