Tonight’s Monday Night RAW has been a special one, as the WWE Universe expected R-Truth to address his attack on John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, they were all taken aback when they witnessed that the returning star had something more to say than what his actions at the PPV meant.
The explanation was more than a “Guys, I’m back!” and it surely was something that Triple H or the fans were expecting. This was because the former US Champion addressed his return, all while breaking the most forbidden rule of World Wrestling Entertainment, speaking on the changes and how the truth has set him free.
The fans were surprised because Truth’s return made him look like a different man and on a mission that would ensure everyone sees him differently than before.
R-Truth breaks WWE’s forbidden rule on his WWE return
The world of professional wrestling and the WWE Universe was taken aback when, earlier this month, R-Truth announced his exit from the company. The unforeseen WWE release made the fans launch the “We Want Truth” movement, vehemently and passionately ordering Paul “Triple H” and company to re-sign the released star.

The fans showcased their anger by turning WWE into AEW last Saturday, at June’s exclusive premium live event, Money in the Bank, featuring a 4-match card. The live show reached its peak when John Cena received a beatdown from a returning R-Truth and handed over the win to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The fans could not believe what they witnessed, and the internet was on fire to see the beloved star return, who had just 1 condition.
The company announced that the 53-time 24/7 Champion is going to address the upcoming segment of Monday Night RAW. The moment finally came today when Ron Killings jumped on the commentary table to cut a promo via YouTube. He addressed the Phoenix crowd, telling them, “Don’t let anybody tell you that you don’t matter” and how their “voice” doesn’t matter. However, Truth was not done because he had ample ammunition with him.
He addressed the higher-ups with “they” and how they were forced to make changes that ensured he returned to the company. Following his shots at the company, he addressed his character change, where he told the fans how R-Truth can be “too funny all the time,” but more importantly, he is “too nice and he’s too forgiving.” However, he felt that it was high time to rise from being a “sideshow act” and a “gimmick” before pulling out a pair of scissors and cutting his locks.

The crowd was flabbergasted, inciting the “holy sh*t” chants, and the star finally told them that he now goes by the name of “Ron Killings” and that he is “the whole truth and nothing but the truth” and demanded “respect” to be put on his name. A promo that sent shockwaves across the internet, leaving everyone too stunned to comprehend the string of events.
The fiery promo witnessed him breaking the company’s sacred rule of breaking the ‘WWE storyline’ by addressing his release, switching his in-ring name, and even calling out the higher-ups. All of this is part of the kayfabe that ensures the sagas are more emotionally driven, making the fans connect and love the new rivalries that the company presents to its fans.
Fans are buckled up to witness the greatness of Ron Killings
There’s no denying that WWE is the largest wrestling promotion brand that has a reputation to keep intact, especially after switching to the PG era, always being extra cautious of what its superstars say or do inside the WWE ring. This means that they can’t say stuff that hurts the integrity of the company, and with Killings’ promo doing exactly that, fans are thrilled to see what he is going to do.

This reaction was evident when WWE’s official X account shared a clip from his promo, and fans soon addressed him as a “legend” and claimed that his “game” is unreal and he should brace for the impact he will cause in the coming days. The fans commented,
Why did he cut his hair style?

Clearly, Killings was not delighted with his release; after all, he gave his 17 years to the company, which features countless hilarious segments with other WWE stars, even making the 24/7 Championship a title that every star wanted their hands on.
Monday Night RAW can be streamed on Netflix at 8 ET/5 PT.
