We Were Too Focused on Sasuke to Realize Naruto Was Always the Real Ladies’ Man

‘Sasuke this, Sasuke that’ is pretty much what a conversation among young girls in Konoha used to sound like. Back in the good old days, Sasuke was the biggest deal ever. And, Naruto? Well, he was annoying, a demon, and all things trouble. Just to clarify, we’re not the ones saying that. That was the popular perception people had of him.

Once Naruto challenged this perception by focusing on his growth, it didn’t take long for him to garner positive attention. He had girls fawning over him and even visiting Konoha simply to interact with him. That tells us that he was the true ladies’ man of Konoha.

Naruto’s reputation preceded him for the worst

Sasuke came from one of the most respected and talented clans of Konoha. His brother was a prodigy, and he followed in his footsteps. Whether it was looks or the skill set of a Shinobi, Sasuke was leagues ahead of his peers. The girls were obsessed with him. Nobody stood a chance against him, not even the protagonist.

Naruto was the complete opposite of Sasuke. He didn’t have the background or the air of mystery about him. Instead, he was loud and annoying. Every second, he was up to some new prank. He didn’t know how to interact with others and always turned everything into a screaming fest. But, is all of that really true?

Once Naruto found the right people to guide him and the environment to grow, he grew more likable. It didn’t take him long to become everyone’s favorite. People relied on him more than anyone, and that tells us that his charm was so deadly that he had to be nerfed

As a child, he was ostracized by the village because of Kurama. He was treated like a demon by everyone, the adults and his peers alike. To fight that judgment and to get people to notice him, he began to act up. That made it more difficult for him to attract the right kind of attention.

Naruto was much more of a charmer than Sasuke

Once Naruto excelled as a Shinobi and dedicated himself to his dream, he quickly rose to popularity. He was training with a Legendary Sannin and even touring with him. He found Tsunade and persuaded her to become the Fifth Hokage. There was no coming back after the fight against Pain, as he became the village’s hero.

From that point, women started gushing over him and even visiting him from different villages. Shion from the first Naruto Shippuden movie liked her even before that. Even Ino acknowledged him when young aspiring kunoichi were gushing over him at the academy in The Last: Naruto the Movie. Unlike Sasuke, who was broody and uninterested, Naruto had charisma.

He listened to people when they talked to him, and always showed genuine interest in everyone he met. He was straightforward and generally caring towards people. In addition to that, he was strong and handsome. If you doubt that, you just haven’t seen him without his headband. Naruto was everything, but the world wasn’t prepared for his game yet. That’s why it took so long for him to unveil his true appeal.

Naruto is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
