Beloved TikTok grandmother Norma Burton has died at age 91.
“05/06/2025 the day our family lost our rock, our everything, our beautiful, precious, perfect lady. We are all truly devastated and our lives will never be the same,” a statement shared via Burton and granddaughter Jess Asquith’s official Instagram account read on Tuesday, June 9. “We want you all to know that Nan fell to sleep peacefully, surrounded by all her family, she was full of love and had the most beautiful care. If anyone deserves a place in heaven, it’s you Nanny Norma.”
The statement continued, “Social media and our community online made Nan’s last years so incredibly special, her cup was full and in her own words she ‘lived such a wonderful life.’ 91 years was never going to be enough and she has left the biggest hole in all of our hearts. Reunited with her husband and family, until we meet again, our queen 
.”
Alongside the message, Asquith shared a sweet photo of Burton giving a soft smile for the camera as she sat in a chair wearing a crown on her head.

Fans were quick to share their condolences, with Love Island U.K. star Molly-Mae Hague paying tribute to Burton. “This has shattered my heart. Rest In paradise Norma. 
,” she wrote in the comments section. “One special lady.”
Burton rose to fame on TikTok alongside Asquith, amassing more than 2 million followers on the social media platform. The grandmother-granddaughter duo participated in viral trends while sharing their days together and capturing the hearts of their fans.
In March, the pair celebrated Burton’s birthday via TikTok by sharing that they wrote an autobiography.
“It is a story of our whole lives. You’re going to hear about things we’ve never even spoken about before. You’re going to see pictures you’ve never seen before,” Asquith said in the video. “We’ve done it together so you’re going to be hearing from us both.”

Asquith gushed that “this is something that will stay with me forever,” while Burton noted that it’s “been quite special.” Burton shared that the book, titled Jess and Norma: A lifetime of laughter and our unbreakable bond, has “brought so many memories” back.
“It’s a huge leap and one that I would never, ever have dreamt of,” Burton said. “I just hope that people will enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed doing it.”
The book is set to launch on July 17.
