Johnson, 40, has missed five of his last seven cuts in the majors.
DJ shot an error-strewn +12 across his two rounds at last month’s USPGA Championship.
It followed another disappointing performance at the Masters, with the 2020 winner missing the weekend.
Johnson has failed to finish in the top three in any LIV Golf event on his last 20 starts.
He joined the Saudi-backed league in 2022 and has raked in over £50million in prize money.
Johnson’s former coach Butch Harmon recently questioned if the American was still committed to golf.
Speaking to AP, Johnson said: “I think I’ve got another six years in me
“I can grind for another six years. And then I’m going fishing.”

Johnson is preparing for the US Open later this week at Oakmont Country Club.
The 40-year-old has been paired with Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm in his round one group.
And DJ believes he’s close to rediscovering his form after a tenth-placed finish at LIV Virginia last week.
Johnson said: “I feel like my game’s been really close.
“I haven’t really got a lot out of it. So it was definitely nice to have a nice finish last week [in Virginia]. I played good every day.
“I was still kind of giving away some shots. I need to clean that up a little bit.
