Sicko who killed ex in front of baby now cuts hair in prison & one step closer to freedom in ‘state-of-the-art’ new unit

AN evil barber who stabbed his ex-partner to death in front of their baby is back cutting hair inside jail.

And Hadim Kedik, 50, is one step closer to freedom after being given an independent living unit at the open lock-up.

The beast brutally butchered Rose Patterson at his home in Clonakilty, Co Cork, in 2007.

He was moved to Shelton Abbey Prison in Co Wicklow in 2021.

Kedik is one of ten long-serving inmates at the open prison, including Veronica Guerin’s killer Brian Meehan, who has been given an ILU.

A source said Kedik has become the resident barber at the jail and cuts the other lags’ hair.

The source said: “Kedik is liked by other prisoners as he cuts all their hair. He has taken up the role of resident barber at Shelton Abbey.”

Kedik’s trial in 2008 sent shockwaves around the country when the gruesome details of his horrific crime were exposed.

The court heard how Kedik repeatedly stabbed Rose, leaving her to stagger around his flat before she collapsed at the front door.

The 30-year-old victim lay wounded while her baby, covered in blood, crawled beside her body.

Kedik then turned the knife on himself in a failed suicide attempt.

The then 33-year-old was sentenced to mandatory life in prison by Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy.

Following the sentencing, Ms Patterson’s family read out a short statement to the court in memory of their bright, optimistic daughter who was a loving mother of three.

The statement said: “It’s always difficult to come to terms with the loss of someone so young but the manner of Rose’s death has added to our loss and complicated our grieving process.”

Kedik now enjoys an easy stretch at the Shelton Abbey facility in his independent living unit, along with Meehan and a hitman gangster.

GANGLAND KILLER’S TEMP RELEASE

Our source added: “Another prisoner who lives in one of the state-of-the art ILUs, which includes a kitchen and TV, is gangland killer Craig White.”

White was the first person to be convicted of murder in the deadly Crumlin-Drimnagh feud.

He has been on temporary release frequently and was pictured two years ago driving around Dublin in a Toyota CHR while working in a bike shop.

White, of O’Devaney Gardens in north inner-city Dublin, is serving a life sentence for the 2005 murder of 27-year-old Noel Roche.

He was only 23 when in 2009 he was jailed at the Central Criminal Court by Judge George Birmingham.

His victim, who had been at a Phil Collins concert that night at the Point Depot with his girlfriend, was shot three times in the passenger seat of a Ford Mondeo.

Roche was killed just six months after his brother John, 25, had been shot dead in the Kilmainham area of Dublin.
