A major confrontation is set to happen between Ali Larter and Demi Moore in Landman Season 2
Ali Larter spoke about the upcoming Landman Season 2 with The Hollywood Reporter and revealed that she’s excited for her scene with Demi Moore. Praising her co-star, the 49-year-old former model said:
She’s amazing. Such an icon. She’s so beautiful. She comes in and out, while the rest of us are living down here. So I think there’s challenges and bonuses to that. But I have a big scene coming up with her in a couple weeks and I can’t wait. She’s great in this character and she has so much to offer. I’m excited to see what she continues to do.
Thankfully, Taylor Sheridan is giving Moore inspired material that would bring out her acting prowess. Coming off the success of The Substance, it’s only natural for the actress to have a bigger, more significant arc in the story.
As the wife of Jon Hamm’s Monty, her stint in Season 1 revolved around chiding him for working too much and revealing that she and Tommy had been friends for a long time. Indeed, it was a massive waste of talent. However, series co-creator/executive producer Christian Wallace gave an insight into their plan for Moore’s character via TVLine:
If the story were to continue, it would be very interesting to see what Cami’s role would be in this world when she’s the person closer to the top and is making these decisions.
This refers to the season finale after her husband died and Tommy became the head of the oil company. At this point, Cami has a very important part to play, and we will be seeing its continuation in Season 2.
Moore and Cami are both at the peak of their powers this time, and it would be incredible to see that translated on screen.
Billy Bob Thornton on working with Demi Moore in Season 2
Billy Bob Thornton provided more information about Moore’s role in Season 2. Since the season finale teased that their characters will be working closely, he said Tommy will be there to show Cami how the industry works (via Deadline):
Since she doesn’t really know the oil business that well, I’m there with her to show her how these people operate.
It seems like Cami will become more involved in the oil empire than she did before, and her presence there will definitely create a shakeup in the system.
It’s going to be a very exciting season as we will finally see Moore come back and take up more space in the famed Sheridan-verse.
