Seth Rollins Has the Perfect Chance to Cash in His ‘Money in the Bank’ and That Involves John Cena’s Next Opponent

The recent resurgence of the rivalry between John Cena and CM Punk had a twist. Seth Rollins interrupted the feud with his entrance and indirectly announced that he could cash in his contract against anyone.

The situation would be a death sentence to the winner of the clash between John Cena and CM Punk in Saudi Arabia at the Night of Champions. But is it the right time for the architect of the WWE to cash in his contract? A dream scenario building up appears more lucrative than the current opportunity.

The perfect cash-in moment for Seth Rollins could be the Crown Jewel clash between Cena and Gunther

Apart from John Cena’s altercation with CM Punk, another significant development that occurred during the previous edition of Monday Night RAW in Phoenix was Gunther defeating Jey Uso to become a two-time World Heavyweight Champion. The ring general got the title he wanted back at an interesting juncture.

John Cena is already the undisputed WWE champion ever since he defeated Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. With this, Gunther now has the opportunity to achieve a significant milestone that he failed to secure for himself last year.

Considering both Gunther and John Cena continue to somehow hold on to their titles till October, the Austrian wrestler can compete against the 17-time world champion for the Crown Jewel championship in October.

During a recent interaction at Notsam Wrestling Podcast, Sam Roberts talked about the possibility of the high-stakes clash between these prolific performers. Roberts shared:

Can you imagine if John Cena actually does hold on to that title up until October and now you would go into Crown Jewel: Perth with Gunther vs. Cena, champion vs. champion? Your two champions now are Gunther vs. Cena. Everybody’s heels. Gunther’s a heel. Cena’s a heel. Seth Rollins with the briefcase is a heel.

After becoming the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time, the Ring General had challenged then undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes last year but was outperformed and dominated inside the ring by the American Nightmare.

While the outcome of this high-stakes clash remains unpredictable, it presents the perfect opportunity for Seth Rollins to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. As a former WWE Champion, Rollins could seize the moment and challenge the victor for either of the world titles, turning the chaos into a golden, win-win scenario for himself.

If such a match happens at the Crown Jewel this year, it would certainly be a ferocious encounter for both WWE superstars. Winning a major world title would then be easy for Seth Rollins because in such a match, he would be accompanied by his powerful enforcers, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The self-styled revolutionary in the WWE would then be one of the most powerful forces in the locker room with the world title in hand and a power-packed faction supporting him. This would ultimately be a great leap forward for Seth Rollins as far as his ideas for the company are concerned.

Gunther supported the idea of facing John Cena at Crown Jewel 2025

With a high-octane clash on the horizon, Gunther has expressed his support for a possible scenario where he can face John Cena at Crown Jewel. During an earlier interaction with the Daily Mail, Gunther said:

It’s the last chance to get in the ring with him, so if that ever becomes a possibility, I would definitely take that. John Cena is obviously one of the wrestlers, you can put him onto Mount Rushmore.

Speculations are also suggesting that the Ring General would turn into a baby face during his second reign as World Heavyweight Champion. Furthermore, a major clash for Gunther is also on the cards. It is widely believed that he will face Goldberg in his retirement match at SummerSlam with the World Heavyweight Title on the line. Goldberg has already announced that his retirement match will happen in 2025.

Whatever the case may be, the suspense surrounding Seth Rollins and his next move only continues to build. Will he make a bold statement by cashing in at Night of Champions, or will he bide his time and wait for Crown Jewel? Only time will tell.
