Sasha Obama is a 2000s boho queen in mom Michelle Obama’s birthday tribute.
Sasha turned 24 on June 10, and her mom celebrated the milestone with an Instagram photo of the whole Obama family.
In the photo, Sasha wore a flowy brown maxi skirt with a strapless beige top that let her statement silver, 2000s-inspired necklace have its moment. She tied the look together with silver ballet flats and left her long, dark hair loose.

“Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha,” Michelle wrote alongside the sweet photo in which she also posed with her 26-year-old daughter, Malia, and her husband, Barack. “Can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Love you always!”
The former president also shared the same photo alongside a birthday message for his youngest daughter. He wrote: “Happy birthday, Sasha! Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I’ll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.”
Sasha has been living a quiet life since her family left the White House in 2016, when she was 15 years old. In 2023, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in sociology and has been living with Malia in Los Angeles ever since.
The two girls have become staples on the LA cultural scene and are often photographed at parties attended by stars like Kehlani and Drake.
Michelle gushed about her daughters’ grown-up lives late last year. “They’re women in the world. Living on their own. Paying rent… ish,” she said on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Dec. 20. “They live together.”
“They are smart, they are funny,” she added. “They’re wise in their own ways and I love spending time with them – they’re doing great. They’re really good.”
