Ryan Reynolds surely knows how to stay in the limelight, and if the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama wasn’t enough, recently, a viral photo of him had fans doing a double-take. That’s right—he was seen leaning in to kiss a woman who wasn’t his wife but her sister. For obvious reasons, this sparked instant buzz online, especially with Lively already in the headlines.
But before the internet could spiral into scandal mode, the full story behind the image cleared the air – and reminded everyone that not everything is as it seems.
Ryan Reynolds almost kisses Blake Lively’s sister – but wait till you see why
Ryan Reynolds surely knows how to grab attention, and this time he did it by almost kissing his sister-in-law on camera. With his wife, Blake Lively, already in the headlines due to her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, a new viral video of Reynolds added fuel to the fire… at least for a moment.

That’s right – in the said clip, as per Daily Mail, the Deadpool actor is seen leaning in for a kiss with Lively’s half-sister, Robyn Lively, which had fans raising eyebrows. But before rumors could spiral, the truth came out that the video was a parody.
He created the spoof in response to Neil Patrick Harris’s casting as the voice of Deadpool in Marvel’s new virtual reality game. Poking fun at the announcement, Reynolds mimicked Doogie Howser, M.D., the ’90s sitcom that made Harris famous. In the sketch, Reynolds plays a teenage medical genius, and Robyn reprises her role as Nurse Michele Farber.
As part of the joke, the actor pretends to call Robyn his girlfriend and nearly leans in for a kiss. But before that, he stops himself with the line: “I don’t think we should do that because you’re my sister-in-law.”
The clever video went viral quickly, especially with Reynolds’ next movie, Animal Friends, now delayed by seven months. The R-rated live-action/animated comedy was pushed to 2026, with no official reason given.
But as far as the viral video goes, in true Reynolds fashion, he turned a confusing moment into a comedic twist.
The judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively
A judge has dismissed Justin Baldoni’s massive $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and The New York Times. That’s right – this decision is being called a significant win for the Hollywood couple.

Baldoni filed the lawsuit claiming defamation and extortion after Lively accused him of s*xual harassment. He also sued The New York Times for $250 million and accused the paper of smearing his name. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman found no solid proof to support Baldoni’s claims and ruled that the case had no legal grounds.
Lively’s complaint was protected under the law, and the judge said there was no evidence that Reynolds or her publicist knowingly spread false statements. He allowed Baldoni’s team until June 23 to revise and refile two minor claims but dismissed everything else.
As per People, Lively’s lawyers called the decision a “total victory” and said Baldoni’s lawsuit was a “sham” meant to scare and silence her. They now plan to seek compensation for the trouble caused, including legal fees and damages. Leslie Sloane’s lawyer also spoke out, stating that Sloane was wrongly dragged into the case and is now fully cleared.
Meanwhile, The New York Times thanked the court for protecting journalism and standing up for truthful reporting. Though this countersuit is over, the main trial between Lively and Baldoni is still ongoing. Both are expected to testify in court in March 2026.
