Rockstar Games’ next title, Grand Theft Auto 6, promises to be bigger, better, allowing more freedom to players while also having a tightly knit narrative that’s grounded and is rich in what made the series so special and beloved over the years.
Speaking of player freedom, the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 gave us a glimpse into the bustling streets of Leonida and a mere taste of how interactive it would be. However, Rockstar can take customisation up a notch by adding a fan-requested feature in their upcoming magnum opus.
Rockstar should add interior decoration to expand customisation in Grand Theft Auto 6

Customisation has always been a part of the Grand Theft Auto tradition, and Rockstar needs to expand on it with their next title. Be it changing your fit, how you look, or the supercar you stole, customisation has taken shape in various forms throughout the series.
One crucial feature that GTA 5’s single-player mode was missing in its safe-house offerings is the ability to customise the interior and decorate it as you wanted. Rockstar’s never-ending support led to this feature being present in GTA Online, but skipped its single-player counterpart.
GTA Online had a range of luxurious homes that were internally customisable, with the ability to renovate them according to players’ wishes. Money talks, and the more they spent, the more outstanding their humble abodes looked, although there was nothing humble about them.
Since then, fans have been requesting this feature to be added in GTA 6, and Rockstar would be dumb not to capitalise on it. The second trailer gave us a glimpse of Jason and Lucia’s shared apartment, bringing a brand new dynamic to the series, and no doubt, the apartment will be witnessing some stuff throughout the game.
However, Rockstar can allow players to decorate the interior as the apartment would likely act as a safe-hub for the game, much like how the camp functioned in Red Dead Redemption 2. Letting players pick and choose what they want in the apartment and how they want it would bring a personal touch to the duo’s journey.
Plus, it would be fun to watch how other players customise their apartments and make them their own. Sure, implementing this feature would put a lot on Rockstar’s plate as a personalised apartment would have to look consistent throughout each cutscene and every interaction. But, who’s to say they haven’t already considered it?
With GTA 6 rumored to have way more enterable buildings than the previous titles in the series, it would only make sense for Rockstar to add an option to customise interiors, resulting in an even more immersive and personal experience.
Life of crime breeds a bountiful harvest, and not getting the option to spend it on interior decorations like electronics, furniture, and even the color apart from clothes, cars, and food would be a missed opportunity on Rockstar’s part.
Immersion is the name of the game in Rockstar’s next evolution of the GTA series

With Grand Theft Auto 6 rumored to have a humongous budget of a billion dollars, players can expect some revolutionary features and next-level immersion in the title. GTA 5’s budget seems like pocket change in comparison, which was $265 million.
We can only hope that interior decoration makes it into the game, as it would offer a level of immersion absent from the previous titles in the series, at least in the single-player aspect.
Player expectations and excitement are at an all-time high following the release of the second trailer and new rumors, be it fake or real, fueling more hype, leading fans to speculate about the game’s features and story beats.
Rockstar aims to please, and GTA 6 will likely exceed all expectations. So, what are your thoughts on this fan-requested feature for Grand Theft Auto 6? Share them in the comment section below.
