Marvel Rivals sure is a fun multiplayer shooter game, which has a lot of characters to master. If you’re good enough, you’ll be awarded the Lord icons to showcase your valor. However, if you’re too egoistic about how many hours you’ve spent without showering, everyone won’t take it kindly.
There isn’t any hint of doubt that people who have Lord icons have earned enough proficiency with a Hero. But we all kind of find it annoying whenever we’re trying to pick a Hero. These so-called pros are stalling us by showing their Lord icon. Ultimately, picking a different character after all that flexing is not what the flex role means!
Lord icon flexers are annoying in Marvel Rivals
If you have been playing Marvel Rivals long enough, you must have seen players having a different Hero pose during the character section. This is the Lord icon, which can only be acquired by maxing out character proficiency. It’s a bit of a challenge, but anyone can do it with enough persistence.
Those who have managed to acquire Lord icons in Marvel Rivals, there’s no harm in showcasing your achievement. However, you do have to be kind enough to let your teammates pick their hero, so that they can play the game properly.
Players of Marvel Rivals even took the issue to Reddit to discuss whether it is the case for everyone. Surprisingly, yes. Everyone is annoyed by egoistic players in the game, who are stalling others just to show the shiny badge that almost means nothing.
A post made by u/mudafort0 on the r/marvelrivals subreddit showcased the situation they face during the character selection menu. It might seem funny to read, but it is genuinely an issue that Lord icon holders need to be aware of.

In their experience, u/mudafort0 tried to pick Magik, but two other players quickly switched to show their Magik Lord icons. Not just that, the Lord icon holders continue to show their other achievements with other Heros too, which caused players to be confused about what character to pick.
As always, it is a team-based game, and everyone has to strategically pick roles that will aid the team. Sadly enough, all the stalling and showing up Lord icons, these players decided to leave after dying. Puny god.
If you have Lord on in Marvel Rivals, you sure must stink
We have seen all kinds of players in Marvel Rivals; some are tryhards, while some lack basic problem-solving. But hey, we shouldn’t judge them, as no one is perfect. But not Lord icon flexers, they are probably more annoying than the Jeff/Storm team-up.

People on Reddit were discussing how delusional some Marvel Rivals players are after getting Lord icons. We get it, you’ve probably spent a lot of time in the game, but that doesn’t mean it’s a wild achievement. The only story you’re showcasing is, you’ve not seen the outside world in a long time to all other players.
But again, not all Lord icon-holding players are like that. Sometimes it could mean they like playing that particular character a lot. There’s no shame in that! But, they too are getting hammered by the community for the Lord icon flexers. But don’t think these folks will be stopping anytime soon.
