In Case You’ve Forgotten the Heel R-Truth, Triple H Might Finally Bring Him Back in WWE

The return of R-Truth has taken the WWE Universe by storm in WWE’s exclusive premium live event, Money in the Bank, and has proved how the voices of the fans matter. The fans were ecstatic as they witnessed a returning Truth beating up a heel Cena before he could steal another win from Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

However, the jester is now resting in the backseat, and the real man behind the cheerful soul has taken over the wheel, announcing to the world that he is done being a gimmick. He states loud and clear that he needs respect to be put before his name, leading to his first heel turn in 17 years.

The performer did not hold back, taking his heel persona outside WWE and warning the world that he was not that guy anymore.

R-Truth sends a fiery message to his critics

This week’s Monday Night RAW has been a wild one, where John Cena showcased his pure evil by making a storyline out of CM Punk’s hate for Saudi Arabia. But what’s more commendable is how he decided to put R-Truth in his place by insulting him, calling him a “gimmick,” and saying his greatest act was pretending to be him all these years.

These comments had far-reaching effects that he didn’t expect, where later that night, the returning star cut a promo of his own, announcing backstage and to the fans that Ron Killings is now here. However, the promo did not sit well with Bubba Ray Dudley, who criticized his act of announcing his transition from R-Truth to Ron Killings during an episode of Busted Open Radio.

The veteran had a major problem with his promo, and he was not a big fan of telling him and the world about his dramatic turn and announcing how he goes by a different name. He said,

Don’t remind me of what you are trying to get away from. You cut your hair off in front of the world because the hair represented R-Truth. I don’t want to hear it no more. You’re Ron Killings, end of story. Forget about the tagline about the truth. Forget about mentioning the truth.

The criticism from the Hall of Famer infuriated the former US Champion, who went off in another segment of Busted Open Radio.

He took the remarks personally and decided to drop several “F bombs” in the veteran’s direction and did not need to be told, “Who I am?” He said,

Who the f*** he talking to? Who he telling me who I am? I know who I am! I’m protecting him! See, everybody got somebody trying to tell them who the f*** they are! I know who I am! I not the nice one. I’m driving now! Don’t let nobody tell you who you are. You know you better than anybody else know. I know me better than anybody else know me too.

The 53-time 24/7 Champion continued that he is done being who he was and does not need to be instructed on what he should and should not be doing in his promos. He reemphasized that he will not let people take “advantage” of him anymore because Killings is now here, and he will change people’s perspective of him. Killings said,

And n*gg better put some respect on my name because I am the truth, so help me! How are you gonna tell me why I cut my hair? I do what I want to do. It ain’t that nice time no more. But I’m not…I’m not angry. I won’t be taken advantage of no more. Things are going to change around here. I’m driving now.

The rant flabbergasted Dave Lagreca and Natalie Neidhart, the hosts of the show, where, for the last time, he mentioned that other people should not become the “maestro” of his life; he will be himself and do as he pleases because he feels more “alive” and “different” than before.

The WWE Universe thinks highly of Ron Killings

The return of Truth as a heel is perhaps one of the greatest narratives in WWE’s kayfabe world. This creative decision saved Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s face as the CCO of the company because fans believe that his heel turn is the best thing in recent times and makes much more sense than John Cena selling his soul to The Rock on a random Tuesday.

A wrestling page (@WrestleOps) shared the clip of the meltdown on X, where fans were impressed with how well he is living his role as a heel and has developed a liking towards it. The fans left comments in support of the performer, calling him a “monster” and saying how he is killing it, which gives him a great opportunity to get a push against Cena. The fans commented,

It looks like WWE has started a new trend of going all heel, as R-Truth, or perhaps I should say Ron Killings, is the latest addition to the ‘babyfaces turned heel’ list. However, out of all the entries in the list, he has the most potential to change the scene, and maybe, just maybe, he will help the 17-time Champion become a babyface again.

Monday Night RAW can be streamed on Netflix at 8 ET/5 PT.
