If You Hate This Brad Pitt Movie From 1994 Chris Evans Will Not Hesitate to End His Relationship With You

It’s not Fight Club, by the way. That was released in 1999. I checked it. Although Chris Evans has never starred alongside Brad Pitt in a Hollywood movie (as in not starring together), it seems that the Captain America star is a huge fan of Pitt’s work.

From Disney movies in the early 2000s to watching non-negotiable movies with your partner, Chris Evans sat alongside Dakota Johnson, where they talked about dating habits and what is non-negotiable in your partner. For Evans, it was this 1994 movie starring Brad Pitt, and we agree with him.

Chris Evans will part ways with you if you hate this 1994 movie!

Evans is a movie buff (alongside being a Disney buff). When he and Dakota Johnson sat down to promote their upcoming movie, titled Materialists, the duo couldn’t stop laughing and talking about movies and romantic partners.

Although Pedro Pascal was absent from the interview, the cast of Materialists had a good time with the interviewer asking Evans questions about his dating life. No personal questions were asked, but it seems that the Avengers: Endgame star had some traits in his dating life that were completely non-negotiable.

When the question popped up about a movie that your partner needs to have seen or is willing to watch it with you, Dakota Johnson immediately says that she knows the movie, which is non-negotiable for Chris Evans. The clip was shared on X, wherein the duo couldn’t stop laughing.

I wouldn’t call these non-negotiables because Fantasia 2000 is something that most haven’t seen. I also feel this way about Legends of the Fall [starring Brad Pitt]. Not everyone’s seen it.

The actor then proceeded to state the non-negotiable aspect to the world that if you don’t like this film, he will not hesitate to part ways with you.

So, I get very excited about sharing it with someone. The non-negotiable would be that if, after they’ve seen it, they hate it. Well, then we can just part ways.

Legends of the Fall was released in 1994 and starred Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins in leading roles, where Colonel Ludlow moves to the Rocky Mountains, and when his youngest son brings home his fiancée, his two brothers also end up falling in love with her.

The movie received quite good ratings, and as Evans said, “Not everyone’s seen it”. But hey, if you want to be on good terms with the Knives Out star, you better watch it and like it too.

Even Pedro Pascal has a non-negotiable movie!

The third member of The Materialists, Pedro Pascal, also has a non-negotiable movie for which he was ready to part ways with Chris Evans! It seems that people have become quite emotional about movies, just look at us.

In a separate promotional event for Materialists (via YouTube), Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, and Dakota Johnson sat and played the game, Something Old, Something New.

When they were asked to name a “classic movie that holds the best”, Dakota Johnson immediately replied with Casablanca, and Evans strongly agreed with her. It was in Pedro Pascal’s answer that the cast had a pseudo-fight about the movie. Pedro Pascal stated,

You know, I was gonna say ‘Terms of Endearment’. [To Chris Evans] You’ve never seen it?

He continued,

So we played a game earlier, and he was ending his friendship with us. Why haven’t you seen it? I’m angry now, but let’s go on to the next one [question].

So we all have some non-negotiable movies (and traits) that have probably helped us become difficult to be with (or vice versa). That’s what Evans and Dakota Johnson’s upcoming movie is all about.

Johnson portrays the role of a matchmaker, but love soars in the air when she meets a charming and rich Pedro Pascal suave gentleman, while also confronting her ex (Chris Evans) about the things that went wrong.

Materialists is set for a release date of 13 June 2025 in theaters (USA).
