Los Angeles was only the beginning. New reports suggest that Donald Trump is gearing up for a full-scale assault on cities run by Democratic mayors in an attempt to stamp out dissent with a display of overwhelming violence and cruelty.
MSNBC reports that ICE tactical units are preparing for deployment on the streets of Seattle, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, and the Northern Virginia independent cities. Their approach will likely echo what Los Angeles residents experienced last weekend: sudden, shocking, and violent incursions into homes, workplaces, and churches by masked men in full assault gear.

They’ll target anyone with brown skin, but particularly anyone with a Spanish name, accent or who speaks Spanish. As per the Los Angeles model, their victims will be shoved into the back of vans and shipped to basement detainment facilities, their children placed into the now-notorious “baby jails”, and eventually processed into nightmarish permanent prisons like CECOT.
The playbook
The Trump administration is anticipating civilian resistance to these snatch-and-grab raids. In fact, they’re relying on there being mass disruption and anger as people’s friends, family, and co-workers are abducted before their eyes.
Just as in Los Angeles, there will be property damage during the protests (whether by those involved or undercover agent provocateurs) that will justify Trump first deploying the National Guard and then the Marines to quell any dissent or opposition.
It’s no coincidence that Trump is targeting cities with a strong Democratic support base that have a history of being “sanctuary cities”. The White House is determined to punish and humiliate Democrat-controlled areas that are in opposition to ICE, with the example of Los Angeles a stark warning to the local governments of what will happen next.
It’s unknown exactly when the new ICE raids will take place, but be prepared for them to happen at any time and in any place. ICE tactical units trampled norms in Los Angeles, bursting into shopping centers, kicking down the doors of houses of worship, and terrorizing everyday workplaces. Sadly, there are no good options for resisting them, but all you can do is be aware and take whatever precautions you feel necessary.
The chaos and violence that ICE left in their wake in Los Angeles is set to spread, all coinciding with Trump’s North Korea style multi-million dollar birthday parade through the streets of Washington DC. He’s desperate for a crushing victory over Democrats, and it looks like ICE goons are ready and willing to deliver thousands of Hispanic scalps to him on a platter. Be safe out there.
