KERRY Katona has admitted she wishes she had remained friends with ex-husband Brian McFadden.
Ex–Atomic Kitten singer and the Westlife star got married back in 2004 – but split after just two years together.

The pair welcomed two kids together during their relationship; Lilly-Sue, 21, and Molly, 23.
Now, Kerry has opened up about her regret at having a rocky relationship with Brian.
In her column for Now! Magazine, Kerry reflected on the recent separation of Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin.
She said she admired the co-parenting dynamics between Chris and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, comparing it to her relationship with Brian.
Kerry wrote: “I was sad to read about Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson’s split, I thought they made a nice couple. It’s amazing how Chris and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow have managed to co-parent their kids and stay friends. I take my hat off to anyone who can do that.
“I wish Brian and I could have stayed friends. Molly went to watch him at a festival last week and I would have loved to have gone with her.
“Brian’s fiancée is lovely and they’ve got a gorgeous little one. It would be great to have a better relationship.”
In a previous column in OK! Magazine, Kerry opened up further about her regret on not getting along better with Brian.
At the time, the mum-of-five highlighted her envy towards Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster.
Penny posted a friendly picture with Rod’s ex-wife Rachel Hunter as they both celebrated his daughter Renee’s birthday.
Kerry wrote: “Seeing Penny and Rachel together makes me feel sad that me and my exes have never been able to come together for the kids.
“It’s a shame, really, because I would have liked to have that kind of relationship with my first husband for the kids.”
The TV star has been open about her marriage to the Westlife lad, previously stating that the whole relationship “was all fake and phoney”.
STAR’S TRUTH
While Brian told Reveal Magazine: “It wasn’t a real wedding. We were getting married to have a big party and get loads of money for it – and to appear showbiz.”
Brian and Kerry’s daughters Lily-Sue and Molly still remain close to their dad and his side of the family.
Outside of her two kids with Brian, Kerry has three other children.
She has two – Heidi and Max – with her second husband Mark Croft, and she welcomed her youngest daughter, DJ, with late husband George Kay.
George, a former rugby league player, sadly passed away on July 6, 2019 at just 39 years old.
