Gina Farrell, who posts under the username @accessoryfairy, on Instagram, shared a video showing off her fabulous buy at Dunnes Stores.

She revealed the stunning Gallery Sylvie Crochet Tiered Midi Dress costing €40 – and it comes in a beautiful baby blue colour.

Dunnes Stores‘ chief branded the dress as “ultra-feminine”, featuring a delicately crafted crochet bodice adorned with intricate floral motifs.

The tiered skirt is made from softly shirred fabric, which creates a romantic silhouette.

Talking in the video, she said: “So I know this one is not going to be for everybody but I do think it’s so much nicer on than it is on the hanger or on the website!

“I adore this colour and the quality of this is absolutely beautiful. It’s fully lined up and it just feels so good on.”

Gina pointed out that the dress may be too long for some people, but wearing smaller heels or flats may work out.

She added: “It just feels amazing on. I love how it moves when you walk, I don’t want to take it off.

“I absolutely love it.”

Fashion fans can wear the dress to many occasions – making it the perfect wardrobe staple to have for all year long.

For weddings, shoppers can style the stunning dress with a beige pair of heels, a clutch bag and a matching colour derby headband.

For summer holidays abroad, pair the dress with a pair of Birkenstocks, a tote bag and a sunhat.

The stunning dress is available to purchase in sizes 8 to 18 and can be purchased online or in stores nationwide.

However, fashion fans are urged to act swiftly as it is set to be a massive sell-out, with sizes 10 no longer available to purchase online.

Gina’s followers immediately rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts about the beautiful dress.

One follower wrote: “Stunning Gina.”

Another person added: “Love the colour, looks fabulous on you Gina!”

The third person said: “Wow I’m obsessed! It’s gorgeous on you.”

The fourth person added: “Stunning. You could wear it to a wedding. It looks really expensive.”

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
