UKWAZI SKILLS CAMPUS is accredited by the HEALTH & WELFARE SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (“HWSETA”) (HW591PA118445).
We currently offer the HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT SKILLS PROGRAMME of which the duration is approximately 5 – 5½ months. It is made up of the following learning outcomes:
i. Anatomy & Physiology (non-credit bearing)
ii. Apply accurate information about HIV & AIDS to everyday life
iii. Perform Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures
iv. Provide Care to a Frail Person
v. Provide Information about Tuberculosis and directly observed treatment (DOTS)
vi. Promote an Awareness of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in the community
Particular emphasis is placed on ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY to assist learners without LIFE SCIENCES (BIOLOGY) as a subject or with a low mark therein.
