Helldivers 2 debuted to commercial and critical success in 2024, even winning a few accolades. Although the shooter has faced a number of review bombings, nothing has stopped Helldivers from spreading Democracy across the galaxy.
One of the latest missions in Helldivers 2 is “Cleanse Infested District,” which can be found in Mega Cities under Terminid assault. Helldivers must take down the skyscrapers that are overrun by the infestation. If you’re finding this task to be difficult, don’t worry! Here’s a guide on how you can destroy Infested Towers in Helldivers 2.
The best way to destroy Infested Towers in Helldivers 2

In the “Destroy Infested Tower” objective, players must find and destroy an Infested Tower that has become a breeding ground for Shriekers. The structure is under the rule of Terminids and is a massive threat to Democracy.
The normal way to complete this objective is by making your way to the marked Infested Tower and then detonating a Hellbomb nearby. Timing and positioning are crucial with this strategy, as the entire area is swarming with enemies that wreck you in a matter of seconds.
However, there’s an alternative and much safer way to take down the Infested Towers in Helldivers 2. All you need to do is target and destroy the top section of the Infested Tower with the help of any weapon that can dish out damage to the Shrieker Nest or Spore Tower.

If you do this, the entire structure will immediately collapse, completing the objective and allowing you to take down all the remaining bugs. Seriously, this strategy makes this entire objective a breeze to complete, and you wouldn’t have to run like a maniac with the Hellbomb.
Helldivers 2 has an exciting new update

Well, if you’ve managed to take down the Infested Towers and complete your objective, it’s time to take a step back and check out the brand-new Helldivers 2 update. That’s right, Arrowhead has released yet another update for the shooter.
Ahead of the next premium Warbond Force of Law, developer Arrowhead Studios has introduced a new patch in Helldivers 2 (via IGN). This update brings quite a few changes to the Ministry of Humanity’s Combat Mobility Safety Guidelines. Now, Helldivers 2 can self-administer stims during dives.
The new update also enhances the stealth mechanics of the shooters. Enemies will no longer automatically detect players who are near Terminid spawns. That’s not all, as we have more fixes for strategies, weapons, game crashes, mission objectives, and even for the “Take Down Overship” task.
Helldivers 2 players were happy to see free rewards after their triumph in the Battle of Super Earth event, and the latest patch has also received appreciation from the community. It’s going to be interesting to see how Arrowhead manages to evolve the shooter with the next updates and additions.
