Recently, Illuminate launched a massive attack on Super Earth, causing significant damage to various megacities on the planet. As always, Helldivers 2 players emerged as the winners in the end as the Illuminate forces retreated. The Ministry of Defence launched an operation to eliminate the remaining Illuminate forces, but the faction has managed to evade detection. While Helldivers were focused on the Illuminate, the Terminid forces made some progress.
Super Earth has released a new Major Order, ordering players to take control of various Super Earth-controlled planets that are under attack. Another attack was expected, but the scale of this attack is no less than Illuminate’s attack. It appears that all the enemy factions are getting restless and are eager to take over Super Earth.
All factions in Helldivers 2 are eager to take over Super Earth

Before Helldivers 2 players could recover from Illuminate’s recent attack, the Terminid faction launched an attack on Super Earth. Many mutated bugs like the Predator Strain are currently on the surface of various highly populated Super Earth-controlled planets.
The latest Major Order requires players to hold some planets: Crucible, Volterra, Alta V, Caramoor, and Inari. The Terminid forces are only a few planets away from Super Earth, so the completion of this Major Order is essential because giving Terminid control of these planets will allow them to launch an attack directly on Super Earth.
In the past, players have pointed out that the factions in Helldivers 2 have become much more aggressive compared to the enemies in Helldivers (2015). All the factions in the game are currently determined to take over Super Earth, and who can blame them? Some theories suggest that Super Earth has been exploiting these factions for a long time. If this is true, then Super Earth will finally get a taste of its own medicine.
Helldivers 2 players must stop this new attack

SEAF forces have been deployed on these planets; however, they are operating at significantly reduced capacity, which is obviously because of the recent Illuminate attack. An in-game message has asked players to stop all Illuminate pursuit missions to focus on the Terminid threat. The faction is taking a huge advantage of the situation because the recent attack has opened up a lot of weak points.
The last Major Order was not completed, so many of Illuminate’s base camps still exist. The existence of these remaining forces means that the faction could plan another attack on Super Earth in the future. The scale of the next attack will certainly be much bigger, so players must prepare themselves for a full-blown war.
One of the main reasons why Helldivers 2 is so popular among gamers is its intriguing lore. Sony has released that it can capitalise on this by narrating this story in a different medium. Last year, it was confirmed that a movie based on the Helldivers franchise is in development, but a release date is yet to be announced.
