Hulk Hogan has always been one of the most renowned faces in the entertainment sports industry. His larger-than-life personality and the ability to get the crowd all hyped up during his matches have made him a prominent figure and role model for many WWE Superstars. After all, he has worked tirelessly to make WWE a global brand.
Despite his countless achievements in wrestling, Hogan always finds himself in the bad books of wrestling fans with his actions that often stir controversy. From accusations of racism to problems revolving around his personal life, his honor is not too great to save him from trouble. This instance seems no different, but this time it has not only outraged the fans but also a former WWE star, challenging him to a fight after he mistreated a disabled kid.
Hulk Hogan’s antics once infuriated Paul Roma
With his iconic yellow and red attire, the idea of “Hulkamania” was popularized by Hulk Hogan, making him a larger-than-life persona that captivated the fans. One of his famous catchphrases, “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?” made the fans go wild. However, gone are those times when fans would cheer for him even after his bad decisions, which have led to tense backstage relations with fellow talents and executives.

Despite having some great matches that have even stolen the limelight from the main event of certain blockbuster PPVs, most of his fellow peers have nice words to say about him as a person or a performer.
Recently, on The Masters of Wrestling, Paul Roma, the former WCW wrestler, unveiled an incident where Hogan “got a little p*ssy” when he was asked to take a picture with a disabled kid when they did a meet and greet with children. He said,
We did a little meet and greet with these kids, handicap kids that aren’t in such great shape. And then there was another kid that I don’t want to say they forgot about, but he came in kind of late and they pretty much wheeled them in on a bed. And they went in and told Hogan, ‘Hey, can you, you know, come on, there’s another kid.’ And he threw his hands up and got a little p*ssy about it and said, ‘I’m not getting paid for this,’ and made a comment like that.
The comment was overheard by Roma, which infuriated him.

It had far-reaching effects, making him lose respect for the WWE veteran for what he said about the young fan.
And I overheard it. And I was like, ‘Are you kidding me, dude? Did I really just hear what I heard? Because I have respect for you. And I liked you as a person. Now you have no respect coming from me.
However, he was not done because, according to the WCW star, he challenged him to a fight, then and there. He added,
And I bought one to whoop your a** right now. The only problem is, like A, anything, if I do, I’m out of a job, and B, you’re out of a job, and I’m getting sued because I cost you your career.’ So, you know what? Again, let’s have at it. I’m ready to go.
The situation escalated, leaving Paul Roma with a bad taste in his mouth for the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer, feeling that the wrestling legend was two-faced and he would not like to have any association with him.
Paul Roma challenges Hulk Hogan to a legit fight
While the 3-time WCW World Tag Team Champion lost all respect for Hulkamania, he was not done yet because, in the very same interview, he challenged him to a fight, either a real one or the one in the Octagon. He claimed that he was “ready to go” and would take an “a** beating” from Hogan if he could give him one.

Later, in the same interview, the star went into details and claimed that if Hogan accepted his challenge for the real fight, he would “slap the taste out of his mouth” and make him regret every word he said back then. Roma said,
I’m going to slap the taste out of his mouth. Every other word that comes out of his mouth is ‘brother.’ So you know what? When I slap the taste out, I’m going to say to him, ‘How’s that feel, brother?’
Clearly, Hogan doesn’t have the slightest idea about social etiquette, especially when you are such an icon and a supposed role model for kids, but that’s probably why he is the second most hated personality in wrestling. Furthermore, he received a negative reaction from the crowd earlier this year when he appeared on RAW’s premiere on Netflix.
Perhaps the two can get a hands-on approach to the problem in Saudi Arabia if WWE decides to bring the two veterans into the same ring and create a feud addressing their real-life tension.
