The reimagination of the iconic fairytale couldn’t have been more riddled with controversy. From Rachel Zegler’s less-than-savory interview moments to some of the creative decisions in the film, Snow White‘s (2025) fate was sealed even before its release. One of the biggest controversies surrounding the remake was Peter Dinklage’s criticism, as he called the film backward for playing into stereotypes when it comes to dwarfism.
Peter Dinklage has a form of dwarfism called ‘achondroplasia’ and is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood thanks to his iconic role in Game of Thrones. While he berated Disney for being outdated, Peter Dinklage’s views did not sit right with many actors with dwarfism, including Dylan Postl, who still has a bone to pick with the actor.
What did Peter Dinklage say about Snow White?

Before we get into why WWE superstar Hornswoggle is still upset with Peter Dinklage, let’s quickly recap what the actor actually said a few years ago. At the beginning of 2022, Dinklage was openly critical of Disney’s “backward” choice when it came to the portrayal of the iconic Seven Dwarfs from the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
While he was happy with a Latina actress taking over Snow White’s role, he was extremely unhappy with what they were doing with the Dwarfs. In his words (via The Guardian),
You’re progressive in one way but you’re still making that f*cking backward story of seven dwarfs living in the cave. What the f*ck are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.
Dinklage’s outrage ended up with Disney responding in a statement, stating that they would be taking a “different approach” with the seven characters to “avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film.” The studio also claimed that they were consulting members of the dwarfism community to make sure they do what’s best.

In the end, the Seven Dwarfs were created using a combination of performance capture, CGI, and puppetry. Unfortunately, Snow White itself was a box office failure.
Hornswoggle is still upset with Peter Dinklage

Well, “upset” might be underselling his true feelings about the actor.
Back in 2022, WWE star Hornswoggle, aka Dylan Postl, clapped back at Dinklage for his opinion and defended the animated portrayal. In the final version of the film, the Seven Dwarfs were played by a group of actors with diverse backgrounds, and only one actor with dwarfism, Martin Klebba, who played Grumpy.
Of course, actors with dwarfism were angry at Dinklage for whatever role his opinion had to do with Disney going in the direction they did, arguing that it cost actors job opportunities in a world where they are scarce as is.
Hornswoggle is still holding onto the anger, outright stating that he “hates” Dinklage. During his appearance on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast, he stated,
F*ck you, Peter Dinklage. Piece of sh*t. F*cking hate him. He costed so many people in my community jobs with that ‘Snow White’ bullsh*t. Pisses me off.
When asked if he also had similar feelings for Hugh Grant, who played an Oompa Loompa in Wonka (2023), Hornswoggle stated that that wasn’t as bad as what Dinklage did.
He stated that it still makes him mad to this day how Dinklage cost so many actors’ jobs in an attempt to “make a statement” and do “some cool, hip thing.” The WWE superstar then pointed out the roles Dinklage has played in his career, including Game of Thrones and Elf (2003). In his words, “He cashed that check for all those years.”
Hornswoggle rightly pointed out that had Disney actually cast 7 actors with dwarfism for the film, it would have created so many jobs in the process. From actors to extras to stunt doubles, many people in the industry would have had a great opportunity to make some money.
Snow White is available to stream on Disney+.
