Experience Tradition and Fun at the 2025 Plumas Sierra County Fair in Quincy

Nostalgia plays a significant role in county fairs, and the Plumas Sierra County Fair aims to blend cherished memories with fresh experiences. Scheduled for July 24-27, 2025, in Quincy, California, this year’s fair invites community participation with the theme “It’s your fair, be there and share!”

The fair promises beloved traditions, including a vibrant carnival, local music performances on the Plumas Bank Old Town Stage, Friday night is Danny Horton Trio, Saturday night is Rummy,  and a showcase of art in the Art Barn. Attendees can enjoy the Home Arts Building featuring quilts, preserved foods, and livestock exhibits, along with the long-standing 4H/FFA horse show and Sunday evening auto racing.

New this year, Flat Track motorcycle races are returning after a successful debut, along with a variety of family-friendly entertainment such as children’s shows and juggling acts.  The fair will also host the Annual Fair Parade in downtown Quincy on July 26, and the Junior Livestock Auction will take place Sunday morning.

The Fair Exhibit Guide is available online and at local banks and libraries, detailing categories for entries. The fair opens at noon each day, with carnival rides available starting at 2 PM. Admission remains affordable, with free entry on Thursday from noon to 2 PM and a Pay What You Can Day on Sunday.

For those interested in volunteering, opportunities are available to help monitor buildings and assist guests. This involvement is a great way to contribute to the fair and engage with the community. For more details, contact the fair office at 530-283-6272.
