Dolores Catania is getting candid about her weight gain.
‘I’m having a really hard time right now. My Mounjaro stopped working, I gained 20 pounds,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 54, shared on an episode of Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live on Friday, June 6. “I’ve been looking for therapy for all my friends. I’m really having a bad time with this.”
After host Jeff Lewis asked whether she’s tried other weight loss medications, Catania explained that she’s already “done it all.”
“I stopped taking it for, like, a month,” she said before revealing that another reason she stopped was that she had to undergo a “cardiac ablation,” which is a treatment for irregular heartbeats. “I don’t know where it’s from.”

Catania went on to share that her doctors told her that her cardiac ablation was caused by “something new that a lot of people are getting now at a young age.”
“They said this is for, like, older people. So they can say it’s from something, I’m not gonna say what but there’s no proof of that,” she added. “They’re like, ‘There’s no reason for you to have this.’”
The Bravo personality said she is doing “fine” now and was only in the hospital “for the procedure.”
“I’m on a bunch of medicine, like, 10 pills a day,” Catania noted. “It’s not contagious, it’s just a formality now. I have to take it for the next 90 days, then I’m done.”
While she isn’t certain, Catania told Lewis, 55, that maybe she “gained weight” from her heart medications.

“I’m hoping maybe that’s why,” she added.
Catania previously revealed in February that she was thinking about quitting weight loss drugs even though they’ve been a “life-changer” for her and her boyfriend, Paul Connell, “who lost 60 pounds” while taking Ozempic.
“He no longer takes a certain blood pressure medication and it’s been really positive,” she told Hello! at the time. “I personally like it. I know it’s time for me to wean myself off or go on a lower dose but doctors have said there’s not really anything wrong with staying on it. You must always go through a real doctor though who knows what they are doing. Research is everything.”
While Catania enjoyed losing weight, she also shared in April 2023 that the main reason she began taking GLP-1s was for medical reasons.
“I’m going through menopause, I have a thyroid issue, I have inflammation and weight is hard to take off,” she said during an episode of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “And I work out, and I don’t eat crazy, and I was gaining weight, and it’s a lot of different layers. … Let’s just let everybody know.”
