ENGLAND football ace Millie Bright has left her fiancé and fallen for a married personal trainer.
The Lionesses defender, 31, pulled out of Euro 2025 this week — stating she was unable to “give 100 per cent mentally or physically”.

We can reveal Millie has split from husband-to-be Levi Crew and grown close to a fitness instructor – who The Sun is not namingInstagramAlamyThe move comes after the Chelsea captain’s shock decision to quit England’s Euro 2025 squad[/caption]
It is understood he has now left his wife and is living at Chelsea captain Millie’s luxury house.
There is no suggestion either of them cheated on their partners.
Pals said Millie — who won Euro 2022 and led England to the World Cup final in 2023 — met the trainer last year after starting to work out at a gym in Redhill, Surrey.
Sources say she later struck up a friendship with the married dad, who we are not identifying.
Earlier this year she split from Levi, and the trainer broke up with his wife “out of the blue”.
A source told The Sun: “Millie’s shock withdrawal from the England squad ahead of Euro 2025 left fans open-mouthed.
“She has always loved playing for her country, and spoke of her pride in doing so.”
They went on: “She has fallen for this guy in a big way, and that has come with some big sacrifices.
“The fall-out has been enormous, but Millie has fallen hook, line and sinker for her ideal man.”
Other sources close to Millie stressed her withdrawal was based purely on her need for an operation to fix a long-term injury.
Millie and Levi shared a home in Surrey and their families were close. In December 2023, she announced their engagement on social media, flashing her diamond ring on holiday in Mauritius.
She has referred to Levi as her “king” who was with her “through thick and thin”.
She even has a tattoo of his eye on her arm which has been shown prominently in official squad photos.
But fans noticed she had removed any mention of him from her social media accounts and deleted the engagement post.
She said pulling out of the upcoming Euros in Switzerland “was not an easy decision”, adding: “I just don’t feel 100 per cent mentally or physically in a position to go on and compete in a tournament.”
She aimed to “get myself back in tip-top condition and just happy again, I think, all round, just feeling like myself”.
England’s first game is against much-fancied France on July 5. Last night a spokesman for Millie declined to comment.

MADELEINE McCann prime suspect Christian Brueckner has gloated that police will never pin the case on him without a body.
In a sickening letter, the German sex fiend, 48, also goaded “the dropping of the investigation will hit the world like a bomb”.
Prime suspect Christian Brueckner goaded cops in a sick letter bragging that they will not find a bodyDarren FletcherBritish toddler Madeleine McCann disappeared from Praia da Luz in Portugal back in 2007AFPBruckner taunted cops in a letter to claim they cannot find evidence against himPolice officers packed up a tent as they ended day one of their search for evidence connected to Madeleine McCann’s disappearancePA
The German paedophile bragged in a letter police do not have the evidence to back their accusations against him in the investigation into the toddler’s disappearance.
And Brueckner, 48, in jail in his homeland for rape, taunted cops, saying: “Is there a body? No, no no.”
The vile letter emerged as officers desperate to find a forensic link to him flew back to Germany after a fresh, three-day search in Portugal.
German prosecutors are convinced of the predator’s guilt — but he has never been charged and denies any involvement.
Last month, a Sun investigation aired on Channel 4 revealed new bombshell evidence found at Brueckner’s lair — including a kids’ bike and a balaclava mask, as well as toys, guns and memory cards containing child kidnap stories.
We revealed that he wrote horrifying fantasies about abducting and abusing a blonde toddler — and how this would leave him “in paradise”.
He also boasted in online forums about his desire to “capture something small and use it for days”.
But, in the verified letter seen by The Sun, Brueckner insists there is no evidence against him.
He wrote: “It is the important questions, the decisive questions that can never be answered.
“Was I or my vehicle clearly seen near the crime scene on the night of the crime?
“Is there DNA evidence of me at the crime scene? Are there DNA traces of the injured party in my vehicle?
“Are there other traces/DNA carriers of the injured party in my possession? Photos?
“And, not to forget, is there a body/corpse? All no, no no.”
He adds: “You don’t have to be a realist like me to predict that the accusations made against me will not hold up and that the investigation will be dropped.”
Brueckner — named as a Madeleine suspect for five years — has also revealed in creepy letters a knowledge of how the German legal system works in his favour.
He wrote: “You know, of course, that in Germany you don’t have to prove your innocence as a suspect, but that the public prosecutor’s office has to prove that you are clearly guilty.
“Even the slightest doubt leads to an acquittal, if there is a court hearing at all.”
Portuguese police are searching various sites in and around the resort of Praia da LuzDan CharityThe locations are around where Brueckner stayed in his car or in camping groundsDan Charity
Brueckner even claims the case against him is built on “purchased witnesses” and reveals his awareness of his global notoriety.
He added: “Now, my path is paved with misjudgements, so to speak, but from now on the whole world is watching.
“Not even the Braunschweig regional court will now dare to make an obvious misjudgement.
“Even if an attempt is currently being made to create a shocking overall picture of me through purchased witnesses, it is the important questions, the decisive questions that can never be answered with ‘yes’.”
Police were seen taking fibres by hand while a hole was dug at the site of an apparent tent from around the time of Madeleine’s disappearance.
However, it was unclear whether the search had found anything was found with enough potential value to the case it merited being sent back to Germany for testing.
Brueckner had already moved out of his cottage in Praia da Luz when three-year-old Madeleine, from Rothley, Leics, arrived in the resort with parents Gerry and Kate and her two-year-old twin siblings.
Those who want to understand how brutal the German justice system is in its attempts to hammer through its own law, even if nothing is true.
Christian Brueckner
He was living in his car, or wild camping in areas including this week’s search site.
In another letter seen by The Sun, Brueckner described how he used his drifter lifestyle to avoid detection.
He wrote: “Do you know that I was a drug dealer at that time in 2007? Investigators know this.
“I bought marijuana in Spain and sold it on beaches in the Algarve.
“I was never caught by the police because I followed a few principles.
“If possible, only drive during the day so that my battered hippie bus doesn’t attract so much attention, only drive the necessary and most importantly, never provoke the police.”
Brueckner has been named as a Madeleine suspect for five yearsDiggers assess the siteDan Charity
He added: “Together with my dog and a lover at the time I enjoyed the ‘temporary hippie life’.”
The seeming failure of long-shot searches this week to find any traces of Madeleine is the latest in a string of blows for the case.
And a document puts him at the location where he allegedly said “she did not scream” as he discussed her with an associate.
In the online message where he brags to another sicko that he really wanted to “capture something small”, he adds it would not matter “if the evidence is destroyed afterwards”.
3 days agoNews TopicsComments Off on Inside David Beckham’s 10 year battle to bag a knighthood after hat-trick of setbacks including tax row & leaked emails
IT has been ten years of tears, toil and the one unfortunate tantrum, but FINALLY David Beckham has landed his knighthood.
Never has a man grafted harder — or deserved the nod — more.
GettyDavid Beckham has landed his knighthood[/caption]
David and Victoria with his OBE in 2003Rex FeaturesNews Group Newspapers LtdA last-minute Beckham free kick sends England to the 2002 World Cup finals[/caption]
Quite how Goldenballs has turned things around following a hat-trick of personal disasters — more on them later — is testament to both the man himself and his incredible work ethic.
Last night, a friend said: “Quite simply, this is the ultimate accolade for David.
“Forget the medals, the trophies, the global fame and the millions in the bank. As a genuine and devoted royalist this means more to him than anything. It is his lifetime’s work — and he’s still only 50.
“People don’t seem to realise how hard David works. His determination and work ethic is second to none.
“Despite all the setbacks, he knew he could turn things around and prove people wrong. And he’s done it.
“His family and friends are incredibly proud, and David himself is beyond happy.
“After all these years, he’s still a bit of a mum’s boy and is so thrilled his mum Sandra gets to see this. It is a huge moment in the Beckham clan.”
For millions of fans, the knighthood is long overdue.
And certainly, within hours of The Sun breaking the news yesterday, social media was flooded with messages of congratulations.
Only a cynic, or a republican, could deny David Robert Joseph Beckham this honour.
A former England captain — a player whose last-gasp free kick against Greece in 2001 sent the nation through to the World Cup finals — his career on the pitch was Roy Of The Rovers stuff.
But it is off the pitch where Becks has really come into his own, single-handedly revolutionising how players regard themselves.
Rather than being seen as a fledgling commodity, Becks (ably assisted by a commercially driven team who recognised his poster boy looks, talent and genuine goodness) had the foresight to market himself as a brand.
In short, he has transcended the sport.
With more endorsement deals than you can shake a stick at, such canniness meant that by the age of 35, David knew he need never kick a ball or work again, if he so chose.
Until Becks came along, retirement for top-flight players — many of whom leave school without so much as a GCSE to their name — meant a life of lost identity and panic.
Now, inspired by Becks Inc, newer stars have secured their own marketing rights, ensuring a golden future away from the pitch.
A generation of footballers’ kids and grandkids will have David to thank for their homes, cars and private school education.
In short, David was, and continues to be, a trailblazer.
While it is his wife — the soon-to- be Lady Beckham — who is the acclaimed fashion designer, ironically it is Beckham who created the defining aesthetic of the 21st Century: The tattoo sleeve.
Trailblazer
His first inking came in 1999 — a dedication to his eldest son, Brooklyn.
How sad, then, that the 26-year-old influencer, who hasn’t spoken to his dad meaningfully in seven months, only found out about the knighthood after being directed to The Sun’s exclusive story by pals.
David would never ever want to be uncouth and openly brag about his honour. He knows how to behave
A friend
However, this could well be a decorum thing.
After all, once the letter from the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood comes in the post, recipients are politely asked to keep schtum.
It is, as David well knows, considered terribly poor etiquette to tell all and sundry in advance of the official publication.
Yesterday, however, he excitedly took to Instagram to re-post reports, published in this newspaper, about the King’s latest Birthday Honours.
A friend added: “Honestly, after all the speculation over the past few weeks, until he’s on bended knee in front of the King, David won’t quite believe it.
“Obviously he’s shared the news with his immediate family but he won’t be doing any formal celebrations until after the ceremony.

“David would never ever want to be uncouth and openly brag about his honour. He knows how to behave.
“He is still not in contact with Brooklyn and, frankly, it would have been weird for him to reach out and tell him, so he didn’t. It is up to Brooklyn now if he wishes to extend an olive branch and send on his congratulations.
“It is so sad because family means everything to David and he would love his entire clan to be at the investiture. Only time will tell though, but at the moment it is looking unlikely. But for now, David wants to just focus on the positives and celebrate this incredible achievement.”
One can only imagine how proud his loving parents, Sandra and Ted, must be.
The whole family adores the monarchy, as David’s remarkable 12-hour vigil in line in 2022 to pay his respects to the late Queen proved.
Over the past year he has also developed a touching relationship with King Charles — something a young Chingford-raised David could, surely, never have imagined.
So much so that the monarch even sent over a birthday gift by courier to mark the star’s 50th last month.
Again, David has only shared with his inner circle what the gift was, although I am told it is, “Something personal to Charles and David, something special”.
Human side
In return, of course, David has sent the King regular supplies of his homegrown honey.
His friendship with Prince William, meanwhile, continues to flourish.
The pair are on texting terms, and as William is an Aston Villa fan and Patron of the FA, much of their chat is football-related.
But William also credits Becks with helping him navigate fame and the endless public scrutiny he faces each day.
Despite David’s well-documented highs, the path to this coveted knighthood has not been smooth.
After all these years, he’s still a bit of a mum’s boy and is so thrilled his mum Sandra gets to see this. It is a huge moment in the Beckham clan
A friend
His sporting and charity endeavours — he has been a devoted Unicef ambassador for 20 years and was recently on the front cover of Time magazine in recognition of his philanthropy — should, on paper, have seen him recognised years ago.
But he has had some widely publicised, erm, hiccups.
These include the leaking of private emails in 2017 in which, embarrassingly, he labelled the Honours Committee “unappreciative c***s”. Not very decorous.
But in credit to David, he refused to kowtow to Russian hackers and pay their £1million ransom to stop the hacked emails being made public.
While initially there was some outrage, his genuine passion and frustration also showed his human side.
‘Thoroughly decent’
It only endeared him further to many of the public, me included, who have variously questioned the committee’s track record.
However, in 2021 David was cleared by tax chiefs after proving his financial affairs were all in order, giving him the green light for a knighthood.
And earlier this month he appeared on The Sunday Times Rich List, worth a combined £500million alongside his Spice Girl wife.
A £100million 2022 World Cup deal with Qatar, a state where it is illegal to be gay, did not sit well with many fans — especially as he had previously graced the cover of gay lifestyle magazine Attitude and has always been a proud LGBTQ ally.
But again, he was vindicated following the World Cup, with Qatar welcoming all-comers and showing willingness to be more moderate in its views.
Showing just how full circle he has come, the documentary featured Diego Simeone, the other player at the centre of the red card incident. The pair have long been pals.
Says a friend: “David has lived an utterly extraordinary life but, through it all, he has remained a kind, patient and thoroughly decent man.
‘Utterly extraordinary life
“Every single day he is approached for selfies and autographs, and he does it all with such good grace. He knows he has a responsibility and does his utmost to use his platform for good.
“He also does countless work behind the scenes that doesn’t get written about or publicised.
“You would be hard-pressed to find someone with a bad word to say against him.
“It has been a long time coming, but finally David has what he has always dreamed of.”
Arise, Sir David.

3 days agoNews TopicsComments Off on From cold showers to hot tomatoes, how TV’s Michael Mosley is still keeping us healthy a year after his tragic death
IT has been a year since the death of the much-loved presenter Dr Michael Mosley, famous for his practical tips on improving health and well-being.
Here Laura Stott looks at his legacy of enlightening and easy-to-follow ideas, including ones that the telly doctor personally benefited from, all backed up by science.
A year on from his death, Dr Michael Mosley’s science-backed health tips are still changing lives – here we look at how his legacy lives onChannel 4
ECCENTRIC EXERCISE:Mosley advocated “exercise snacking” – or fitting small bursts of physical activity into everyday life rather than working out in one prolonged gym session.
GettyThe expert recommended Nordic walking — an aerobic stroll using poles for support[/caption]
He recommended mixing things up, doing plenty of squats and planks for lower body strength, posture and heart health, and trying “eccentric exercises”, such as walking backwards, proven to reduce back pain and aid memory.
He also suggested going down flights of stairs to stretch and lengthen muscles, and Nordic walking — an aerobic stroll using poles for support — to strengthen the core and upper body.
GET IN THE SWIM: Dr Mosley was a huge advocate of the gains that come from getting into the water.
GettyDr Mosley championed the health-boosting power of swimming – from sharper minds to stronger hearts, and even cold-water dips to build immunity[/caption]
Swimming lengths is effective for blood vessels, enhancing vascular function and increasing the flexibility of our arteries.
And time in the pool has also been shown to up mental speed and cognitive sharpness, especially in older adults.
Getting wet for half an hour two or three times weekly was optimal, according to Mosley, who also suggested trying a cold-water wild plunge to strengthen the immune system.
BODY BALANCE: Being able to support your body weight by standing on one leg also enhances health.
GettyThe doctor advocated one-legged toothbrushing to boost balance, cut fall risk and help us stay active and independent as we age[/caption]
Learning to balance without wobbles could aid longevity and reduce injury from falls – one of the most common reasons for declining health as people age.
Better stability makes for a more productive life, as it is easier to do daily tasks. Overall bodily equilibrium and poise is a proven indicator of quality of life as we age.
Mastering the art of standing one-legged, in turn on left and right feet, while brushing your teeth is beneficial, said Mosley, who himself did it daily.
PLANT POWER: Tending to house plants and getting out in the garden are both great for boosting wellness.
GettyDr Mosley promoted the power of nature – from houseplants to countryside walks, greenery helps ease stress, sharpen focus and lift mood[/caption]
Studies show time in nature and around greenery can reduce stress, boost cognition and reduce anxiety.
Fresh air is another wellness win. Smelling the trees, listening to the birds and appreciating the pattern of light passing through the leaves while in the countryside were all pastimes Mosley enjoyed himself.
KEEP YOUR COOL: Cold temperatures aid wellness. Dr Mosley recommended that everybody should embrace the health benefits of feeling a chill.
GettyThe health expert also embraced the cold – from icy showers to cool homes – for better immunity, blood flow and protection against Type 2 diabetes[/caption]
Studies show this can cut muscle pain, increase immune cell production and boost circulation.
He also advised keeping homes cool, and set his own thermostat at just 15 degrees.
Dr Mosley’s research showed this could improve blood-sugar metabolism and potentially protect against Type 2 diabetes.
TURN THE PAGES: Reading each day can benefit both mind and body.
GettyThe late Dr Mosley championed daily reading to boost brain power – any book can help sharpen memory, focus and blood flow.[/caption]
Mosley cited a study by America’s Stanford University, where brain scans of people reading Jane Austen novels showed an increase in blood flow.
This suggests the activity may improve memory and concentration.
If you aren’t a fan of Pride And Prejudice any book should have the same effect.
TINNED TOMATOES: Getting your diet right is key. Dr Mosley showed with his own research that cooked tomatoes could be better for you than raw ones.
GettyDr Mosley’s food tips included cooking tomatoes for more lycopene, plus stocking up on beetroot, garlic and oily fish to boost heart health and fight inflammation[/caption]
An antioxidant called lycopene is released when they are warmed, which helps the body fight off cell-damaging chemicals called free radicals.
He recommended filling your kitchen cupboards with tinned tomatoes to make dishes that could help heart health, bring skin benefits and possibly reduce cancer risks.
Eating beetroot and garlic to lower blood pressure, and oily fish such as mackerel, to reduce inflammation, were among his other tips.
TAKE A DEEP BREATH: Slowing breathing before bedtime could help you enjoy a better night’s kip, reduce stress levels and boost relaxation.
Dr Mosley practised a breathing exercise called 4-2-4 which he used when unable to kip.
This entails breathing in for four seconds, holding the breath for two, then breathing out for another four.
Long inhalation and exhalation slow down your heart rate and may help control chronic pain.

PORTUGUESE giants Benfica could be hit with a three-month stadium ban and a fine after they threatened to refuse to host Portugal national team matches.
Benfica issued a remarkable statement targeting the standard of officiating across Portuguese club competition last month, risking backlash from the Portuguese Footballing Federation (FPF).
GettyBenfica face a three month stadium ban[/caption]
The club have threatened to deny Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team access to their stadium amid complaints about officiating in PortugalShutterstock Editorial
The Champions League club lashed out at “serious events” in the late rounds of the Portuguese Cup and Liga Portugal season that saw them miss out on both trophies to Sporting Lisbon.
Benfica’s statement requested disciplinary reviews against VAR officials from the Portuguese Cup final and the immediate release of audio recordings from the match.
While they also detailed that they would inform the FPF that they will not host national team matches at the Estadio da Luz “until integrity prevails in domestic competitions” – barring Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates from the ground.
That vow could prove costly to the two-time Champions League winners, who face a ban and a fine if they follow through with the threat.
That’s because FPF rules state that any club that refuses to make their stadium available to the national team “without justified cause” will be subject to a penalty.
That penalty consists of a stadium ban running from one to three months and fine.
At present no action has been taken against Benfica.
Benfica narrowly missed out on the Primeira Liga title by two points following a 1-1 draw with Braga on the final day of the season.
Benfica's requests
Take a look at the action that Benfica have requested is taken following their complaint about officiating in Portugal...
To request disciplinary review against the refereeing and VAR team of the Cup Final.
To request disciplinary review against players Matheus Reis and Maxi Araújo for the multiple attacks on player Andrea Belotti.
Demand the immediate release of the audio recordings between the Referee and VAR from the Portuguese Cup Final, as well as the scores given to them.
Make a statement to FIFA, UEFA and IFAB regarding the illicit application of the VAR protocol in Portugal, which has called into question integrity.
Demand that the newly elected Refereeing Council take a public position, presenting concrete measures and solutions to correct its actions, under penalty of not being able to continue in office.
Suspend participation in the Centralisation League working groups and request an urgent hearing with the Government, informing it that, at this time, the conditions to move forward with this process are not being met.
Inform the Portuguese Football Federation that, until integrity prevails in domestic competitions, Sport Lisboa e Benfica will be unavailable to host matches of the National Team in its stadium. Sport Lisboa e Benfica demands that the next season be decided on the pitch, in a transparent manner, which did not happen in the sports season that is now finished. We always assume our responsibilities. We demand that those who oversee and govern Portuguese football also assume theirs.

While they fell to a controversial 3-1 defeat to Sporting in the Potuguese Cup final too, conceding in the 11th minute of injury time before shipping two more goals in extra-time.
Club president Rui Costa slammed the officials after the conclusion of the cup final.
He said: “Benfica lost, I accept that responsibility, but we have to look at Portuguese football. We definitely have to look at Portuguese football.”
Adding: “So, let those in charge of refereeing, let those in charge of the referees analyse this game and see how a VAR that can cancel out two situations for Benfica can’t see two plays like this.
“He’s probably going to be rewarded now and become the leader of VAR in Portugal, which is an extraordinary thing.
“I repeat: you’ve rarely heard me talk about referees, but there are situations that go beyond that. I’ve tried, I’ve tried to be a president of an institution the size of Benfica that is responsible and tries to help Portuguese football in this regard.
“But there are situations that go beyond all limits, because these aren’t mistakes that we should be discussing here: whether it was a foul, whether it wasn’t a foul, whether it was a penalty, whether it wasn’t a penalty.
“We’re talking about two clear, obvious assaults, not seen either by the linesman, who was standing next to the play, or by the referee, or by the VAR.”
Benfica are currently preparing for the Club World Cup.

The horrific accident crushed his cervical vertebrae, effectively paralysing his entire body below the neck
Footage shows Greener pitting against his instructor, dubbed “Sinistro”, inside a training facility.
The beginner was on all fours when his instructor flipped him forward before twisting his head and neck.
Greener immediately lost control over his body and fell to the ground.
He was rushed to the hospital – just days before he was supposed to graduate from college in 2018.
The horrific accident crushed his cervical vertebrae, effectively paralysing his entire body below the neck.
Greener was forced to spend months in the hospital, recovering from multiple strokes as a result of his injuries, according to the New York Post.
He then sued Del Mar Jiu Jitsu club in San Diego for the injuries and blamed his instructor, Iturralde, for his “dynamic, aggressive grappling style”.
Greener, now a mountain climber and a popular motivational speaker, was first awarded $56 million by a San Diego jury in 2023.
Rahul Ravipudi, one of Greener’s attorneys, said: “[The judgement] cements a critical legal victory not only for our client, but also for injured athletes across California by reaffirming that sports instructors and facilities may be held accountable when they unreasonably increase risks beyond those inherent in the sport.”
BJJ legend Rener Gracie, who was called as an expert witness in the case, said: “The black belt instructor did a technique that placed his entire body weight on Greener’s neck, causing him to instantly fall limp and lose all function of his limbs.”
Mohit Sharma, 21, was fighting in the second round of a university wushu tournament on Monday in India.
People immediately rushed to provide assistance, and medics were called.
Sharma, though, could not be revived after a reported suspected heart attack.
According to the Indian Express, he was taken to the on-site medical centre then transported to a district hospital.
But the young boxer sadly passed away as he was declared dead on arrival at Kharar Government hospital on Monday evening, it was later confirmed.
Meanwhile, a mixed martial arts fighter died days after collapsing during a training session.

Zach Doran was sparring at his local gym when his heart suddenly stopped.
The 18-year-old spent 10 days in a coma before his parents Jason and Tami made the “tough” decision to turn his life support machine off.
“He literally fought to his death,” his dad, a teacher and American football coach, said.
“He was doing a sparring session and during round seven or eight, he just collapsed.
“They had thought that he had taken a kick to the chest or a blow to the head, but someone was recording his bouts and it was none of that.
“You could tell he was getting tired and just folded over.”
The “super healthy” teenager, who had been an MMA fighter for two and a half years and was captain of his Varsity American football team, had no underlying health conditions.
But his girlfriend Libby Gilmore, 18, believes energy drinks contributed to Zack’s “shock” passing.
The sportsman reportedly “always had one” before going to the gym or an MMA session, as well as a “pre-workout” – a supplement designed to enhance energy.
