Inside the £100milllion beachfront attraction with indoor gardens and pools set to transform seaside town
NEW images have revealed what to expect from the huge new Eden Project attraction.
The Morecambe attraction is set to open in 2028, after being forced to delay its initial 2026 opening date.

More images have since been released by architects Grimshaw to show what it will look like when it opens.
The huge dome like structures is being dubbed a “global garden” overlooking the bay.
The unusual shaped resort has been “inspired by seashells” and will have a number of themed areas.
The Realm of The Sun is a tropical area while the The Realm of the Moon is a “dark space”.
A central attraction will be a 65ft The Elder Tree sculpture, along with tidal rock pool exhibits.
Huge tropical gardens and a “hyper-real forest” are also expected to be part of the attraction.
Jolyon Brewis, Partner at Grimshaw, told the BBC: “Influenced by the natural rhythms of Morecambe, two extraordinary structures – the Realm of the Sun and the Realm of the Moon – will define this destination.”
Two other realms will also be on-site with more to be revealed nearer the time.
Andy Jasper, chief executive officer of the Eden Project, said: “This project is profoundly important to us all.
“It is not just a project for Morecambe, but for the whole of the UK, and we are delighted to share how the design process is progressing.”
An official opening date and ticket prices are yet to be confirmed although the original Eden Project ticket cost around £38 per adult.
Originally called Eden Project North, Eden Project Morecambe was first given the go-ahead back in March 2023.
Previous plans revealed it is set to cost £100million to build.
The new attraction which hopes to welcome 760,000 people a year, follows the success of the original Eden Project in Cornwall which opened in 2021.
It has even hosted famous acts such as Elton John, Lionel Richie and Kylie Minogue.

And a number of other new Eden Project attractions are set to open in the UK.
Eden Project Dundee is set to open in 2030, alongside the River Tay.
This has also been delayed from its original 2026 opening date.
There is also the £67million Eden Project in Londonderry set to open in Northern Ireland this year.
When it does open, it claims to have Europe‘s biggest undercover playground.
In the mean time, here are some other new theme parks and attractions opening in the UK.

Mother Hubbard’s, often branded the country’s most famous chippy, is offering a limited-time price to mark the opening of a new branch in Coventry.
Customers can enjoy a traditional fish and chips for just 45p when the city centre store opens on June 14.
The exclusive offer pays a special homage to the iconic chippy’s history.
Mother Hubbard’s first ever store opened in Bradford back in 1972, and has since expanded across the country.
But back when the Bradford chippy opened, the price of a classic fish dinner would sell for 45p.
It’s for this reason the store has set its special new offer at that price.
But customers will have to be quick if they want to take advantage of the deal.
The new Coventry store will sell fish and chips at this price just to the first 1,000 customers through its doors on opening day.
It means anyone looking to cash in on the deal will likely have to get to the store as quickly as possible.
The chippy will hold its grand opening on Saturday, June 14 – with doors opening at 11am.
The new Coventry Mother Hubbard’s told social media followers: “Exciting news, Coventry!
“Get ready to dive into nostalgia as Mother Hubbard’s lands in Coventry!
“Join us on Saturday, June 14, for our grand opening and snag some classic fish and chips for just 45p—the original 1972 price-for the first 1000 guests!

Mother Hubbard’s website says: “Fish and Chips are loved by every generation. Are you looking for crispy batter on the tastiest fish, succulent chips & perfect mushy peas?
“Look no further than Mother Hubbard’s and indulge in the finest traditional fish and chips in the area.
“The First Mother Hubbard’s fish & chips restaurant on Ingleby Road, Bradford, was completed at a cost of £92,000 in 1972.
It was opened on May 3, 1972 by Coronation Street favourites, Stan and Hilda Ogden. At that time, fish and chips were served at just 45p per portion.”
Ballerina’s Box Office Collection: It Is Already Ana de Armas’ Most Successful Movie in a Lead Role
A lot of expectations ride on Ana de Armas’ Ballerina. Many franchises cannot survive the spin-off stage, burning out before they can expand. Nick Knowles’ new wife Katie shares new photos from wedding and has already changed her name on Instagram
NICK Knowles’ new wife Katie has shared some new photos from this wedding – and she’s already changed her name on Instagram.
Nick, 62, and Katie, 34, said ‘I do’ in the same venue where Rylan Clark married ex-husband Dan Neal in 2015.

The DIY SOS star and the mum-of-two were all smiles as they posed outside the country house, with the bride showing off her chic style in a stunning blue and white gown.
And they’ve given fans a glimpse into their big day and were seen enjoying their first slow dance together after exchanging vows at Braxted Park in Essex.
Now, Katie, who has already changed her surname to Knowles on social media, has shared a string of stunning photos from inside their big day.
She penned to her 90,000 followers: “When you marry your soulmate.”
Katie shared photos of her and Nick hugging on the dance floor, as well as some beautiful black and white images of them cutting their three-tiered wedding cake.
She also posted sweet polaroid snaps with family and friends, and a fun photo of her and Nick posed in playful costumes against a floral backdrop.
Fans flooded the comments with messages of congratulations.
One person wrote: “Congratulations to you both Katie and Nick I’m happy for you both,” and a second added: “Gorgeous .. wishing you all happiness in the world.”
A third said: “Looks like you had the perfect day even though the buried sausage didn’t work,” referring to the rainy weather.
Fans also loved watching clips of the couple’s first dance.
DIY SOS presenter Nick was decked out in his pink jacket while lingerie boss Katie sported her elegant blue floral gown as they swayed and gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes.
Even the joker Nick couldn’t resist having a laugh and busted out some twerking at the end while Katie jokingly shook her head.
Katie then did an outfit change and slipped into a white mini dress with match trainers and a glittery hat.
Nick clearly liked what he saw, removing his jacket and spinning it around over his head.
And despite having to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing due to injury last year, Nick proved he’s still got the moves as he spun his wife around the floor.
Later the pair let their hair down further by downing shots with their pals.
There was also lots of entertainment for guests, with a carnival dancer taking to the stage at one point.
Later, a band performed songs for the merry crowd.
Nick and Katie spared no expense on the big day, which is rumoured to have cost six figures.

Michael Owen reveals he didn’t know what Ballon d’Or was when he won it and had to ask manager about it
MICHAEL OWEN has admitted he had no idea what the Ballon d’Or was – even after winning it.
The former Liverpool striker won the prestigious gong in 2001, beating Real Madrid icon Raul into second place.

Owen played 297 times for the Reds over an eight-year stint, scoring 158 goals.
He later moved to Real Madrid and Manchester United, as well as earning 89 caps for England.
The 45-year-old’s electric pace and lethal finishing made him one of the world’s most feared strikers.
Owen bagged 24 goals in 46 Premier League games in 2001, catching the eye of the Ballon d’Or panel.
The award is handed out annually to Europe’s best player.
But after beating greats including David Beckham, Luis Figo and Thierry Henry to the award, Owen had absolutely no clue what it was.
Owen told talkSPORT: “When Gerard Houllier phoned me and said ‘You’ve won the Ballon d’Or’, I’m like ‘What’s that gaffer’?
“I didn’t know what the award was. I never did because I never even knew what it was.

“Back in those days it was never in our press.”
Owen was just the fourth English player to win the Ballon d’Or, following Stanley Matthews, Bobby Charlton and Kevin Keegan.
But it wasn’t until he became a Galactico with Madrid in 2004 that he truly understood its significance.
Owen continued: “When I played for Real Madrid, it’s like an MBE, it follows you.
“Whenever they mention your name it’s Ballon d’Or winner.
“Abroad it is so big and it’s only just cottoned on here for the last five or ten years.
“It’s so much bigger in other countries, in foreign countries.
“It quickly sunk in how big it was.”

Major delay warning for Irish drivers following ‘multi vehicle collision’ and breakdown of ‘heavy goods vehicle’
DRIVERS on Irish roads have been warned to expect delays this morning following multiple incidents in separate areas.
The first incident is a multi vehicle collision which happened in Naas, Co Kildare.

The crash occurred on the M7.N7 eastbound between J9 Naas (North) and J8 Johnstown (Johnstown).
Lane one and two has been affected.
And traffic bosses posted an update on social media warning that the hard shoulder is also closed.
Posting on X, they said: “Incident Update: Collision on M7 between J09 – NAAS and J08 – JOHNSTOWN (Eastbound) Lanes affected: Hard Shoulder.”
Drivers were told that delays will occur and that they should consider a different route.
But they should be warned that alternative routes can also become congested due to the heavy volume of diverted traffic.
Traffic bosses warned: “Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time.
“When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.”
Elsewhere in the country, road users have been warned of delays on a busy motorway.
The M1 is a continuation of the busy M50 motorway and connects parts of Dublin city centre to areas further afield.
This morning, the thousands of commuters who use the road ever day have been urged caution following a breakdown.
Traffic bosses reported the breakdown of a heavy goods vehicle at the roundabout at junction two.
Lane two is affected.
They said: “When approaching the breakdown location, reduce your speed and drive with caution.
“Minor delays to your journey may occur.”
CLEAN UP
But the rest of the road is clearer than usual this morning following the clear up of two earlier incidents.
Hours ago, a vehicle breakdown was reported on the M1 near Junction Two at Dublin Airport.
Lane two was affected by the incident.
And in a separate location, there was debris on the road causing delays to traffic.
This occurred on the red M50 southbound slip to N7.
Both incidents have been cleared up, leaving the motorway mostly quiet and with mo major delays.
There are no reports of major incidents on roads elsewhere in the country.
