‘Trump is using military forces to stop a protest’: Doechii turns BET Awards victory into rallying cry against Trump fascism

AN EastEnders favourite has been kicked out in a fiery row after his ‘cheating’ was exposed.
The BBC soap is no stranger to showing dramatic love lives in Albert Square.
George Knight (Colin Salmon) faced the wrath of wife Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) after a secret came to light.
Up until now, Elaine believed George had been at a boxing match on Christmas Day – which explained blood being on him.
George’s son Junior (Micah Balfour) returned to Walford and the truth was revealed.
The pub landlord had actually visited Junior’s mother Sabrina – and kept it from Elaine.
He’d hoped to uncover the reasons behind Junior’s behaviour – such as sleeping with George’s ex-wife Cindy (Michelle Collins).
It particularly stung for Elaine, having gotten past George hiding that he was helping Cindy with new venture The Albert.
Behind closed doors, he tried to explain himself – but Elaine wasn’t having any of it.
“You expect me to believe she just threw herself at you?” Elaine said, before adding: “You must think I came down in the last rainfall.”
George insisted he’d only visited to talk, but Sabrina misread the situation and tried to kiss him.
He claimed the bleeding came when he pulled away and Sabrina slapped him – catching his nose.
Elaine was furious at George not only for lying, but also roping Gina (Francesca Henry) and Kojo (Dayo Koleosho).
George reiterated that he loved Elaine, but she said: “But you don’t trust me.
“Because if you trusted me, you would’ve come home that night and told me everything. You would’ve trusted that I would’ve believed you.
“You would’ve trusted that I’d have been by your side – like I have every single time.”
LOVE triangles are a fundamental part of soap-land, but which ones have become the most iconic?
EASTENDERS
Bradley/Stacey/Max: Stacey Slater began an affair with boyfriend Bradley Branning’s dad Max in 2007.
Despite their romps, Stacey still married Bradley, but their deceit came out in an iconic Christmas Day episode that year.
Grant/Sharon/Phil: Heading even further back in Walford history, EastEnders fans were gripped in the 90s as Sharon Watts had a one-night stand with her brother-in-law Phil Mitchell.
Sharon confided in best friend Michelle Fowler – not realising it was caught on tape – and her husband Grant eventually found out and played it in front of everyone at the Queen Vic.
Syed/Amira/Christian: Syed Masood was engaged to Amira before realising he had feelings for another man, Christian, which he confessed to him on his wedding day.
A devout Muslim, Syed refused to admit his true sexuality and went ahead and married Amira anyway, but when they returned, the two men started an affair before being caught in the act by Amira.
CORONATION STREET
Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street – extending it to bigamy.
He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.
But it didn’t stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband’s nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.
When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.
Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price’s best friend, Maria Connor.
Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day.
But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy.
EMMERDALE
Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale.
She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride’s betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.
Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well – until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.
Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.
Elaine ultimately asked George to leave – saying she didn’t think he loved her enough.
When he continued to try and smooth things over, Elaine threw a glass at the wall and screamed: “Get out!”
After a pep talk from Linda (Kellie Bright) and Johnny (Charlie Suff), Elaine went to find George – only to be left heartbroken by seeing him comforting an upset Cindy.
EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
If you watch the Ana de Armas-led Ballerina, you will notice a stark contrast in the action sequences compared to the John Wick movies. LOVE Island is lining up a stunning Welsh brunette as a bombshell, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
Emily Moran, who lives in Sydney, Australia, has jetted to Mallorca and is set to turn the boys’ heads.
A source said: “Emily’s originally from Aberdare, the same town as Nicole Samuel from last year’s show.
“Her ex-boyfriend is tall dark and handsome so she’ll have plenty of options when she does make it into the villa.
“She’s been unlucky in love since moving down under and is hoping to find Mr Right with a little help from Maya Jama and the British public.”
The glam, well-travelled brunette is fond of a beach day, often stripping down to stylish bikinis to soak up the sun.
Last year she spent time in Ibiza, Mykonos, Mallorca, and the Amalfi Coast.
Emily last posted on social media two weeks ago and told followers she was a “happy girl”, while another post saw her say: “I love my little life”.
We exclusively revealed yesterday that one of the original villa girls has already been dumped from the villa.
A source said: “This girl will be sorely missed as was already proving to be a big character. She was absolutely gutted to leave.
“But the series has twists and turns at every stage and this isn’t the usual dumping viewers might expect after a bombshell arrives.
“Executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter has promised drama for the tenth anniversary and this format point will not disappoint.”
It came after the first bombshell of the series, American Toni, was introduced last night and immediately stole Ben from Shakira.
However, viewers think the taxi driver isn’t interested after picking up on his body language and saying: “Ben doesn’t even look like he wants to be there. This season is about to be a mess.”

CLARESSA Shields has backed Katie Taylor to make it 3-0 against Amanda Serrano, citing the Puerto Rican’s stubbornness as her kryptonite.
The Bray Bomber took their second scrap in November with all three judges scoring it 95-94 in her favour.
Despite having been victorious on both occasions they’ve duked it out, the close nature of each contest has prompted a third fight on July 11.
It will be held at Madison Square Garden just like their first epic encounter in 2022.
And Shields reckons a similar result will unfold before the massive global audience that tunes in to watch it on Netflix.
The two-time Olympic gold medallist told Fight Hub TV: “I think that Katie will win again. And listen, I don’t have a dog in the fight.
“I mean, Amanda has some underlying issues with me, and saying that I downplay her career. Whatever the f*** she’s talking about.
“So I don’t know what that’s about. What I will say is, from my knowledge, Katie Taylor is the better fighter.
“And Amanda can beat her! Amanda can beat her. But she won’t. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
“And Amanda — I’m not calling her old, because I don’t know how old she is. I just know she’s older than me — she’s stuck in her ways.
“And I think that not only is she stuck in her ways, but her coaches are stuck in their ways too.
“You have to look at what the judges saw, and think, ‘Okay, even though we feel like we won, we need to fix X, Y, and Z.’ But I don’t think that she’s mentally capable of doing that.”
Since turning pro in November 2016, the same month as Taylor did, Shields has gone on to establish herself as an equally dominant presence.
The 30-year-old has compiled a record of 16-0 with her last boxing bout coming in February when she cruised to a decision against Danielle Perkins.
She has fought since then, however, as she won her professional MMA debut a mere two weeks later against Kelsey DeSantis at a PFL vs Bellator event.
Last month though she announced her retirement from Mixed Martial Arts as she intends to go back to putting her full focus on the sweet science of boxing.
She mostly fights at light middleweight (154lbs) so between her size and age advantage, it’s unlikely she’ll ever be matched up against the Wicklow wonder.
The most recent news around Taylor’s looming fight card came over the weekend when a fighter on the undercard withdrew due to her becoming pregnant.
Dina Thorslund withdraw from her title unification bout against IBF bantamweight holder Shurretta Metcalf as the unified bantamweight champ revealed that she is expecting her second child.
She has relinquished her WBO title. Upon her return to the ring Thorslund may request to be designated mandatory challenger.
A MISSING woman was killed by her ex-lover who dragged her body from their office block in a wheelie bin, a court heard.
Yajaira Castro Mendez, 46, was reported missing on May 31 after failing to return to her home in Ilford, East London.
Her body was discovered 96 miles away in the Bolderwood area of Hampshire on Saturday.
Yajaira’s ex Juan Francisco Toledo, 51, appeared at the Old Bailey today charged with murder.
The court heard Toledo allegedly killed Yajaira on the evening of May 29 at an office where they were working in central London.
Prosecutor Caroline Carberry KC said: “The defendant was Ms Mendez’s work colleague.
“They were both cleaning staff at an office building on Grays Inn Road and they had been in recent history in a relationship and on the day of her death they were both at work.”
The court was told Toledo allegedly murdered Yajaira after she arrived at the office at 5pm.
Around three-and-a-half hours later, her body was removed from the building in a wheelie bin, it was said.
Toledo allegedly drove to Hampshire with Yajaira in his car then dumped the body.
A post-mortem examination to determine her cause is ongoing.
Venezuelan national Toledo, who was assisted by a Spanish interpreter, was remanded into custody.
A plea hearing was set for September 1 with a provisional trial from April 20, 2026.
The Met yesterday confirmed the body belonged to Yajaira.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Sean Beasley, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a very sad development in the investigation and our thoughts are very much with Yajaira’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“Officers have been working around the clock and continue to investigate the circumstances.
“There are still crime scenes in place and we’re working closely with Hampshire Police.
“We thank the community for their patience as we carry out our investigation and we continue to appeal to anyone with information that could assist the investigation to please come forward.”
