The Porsche 911 GT3 RS blends motorsport engineering with road-going performance.

It features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing over 500BHP and over 470NM of torque, revving to an exhilarating 9,000 RPM.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, delivering a 0–60 mph time of under 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.

Lightweight materials like carbon fiber and magnesium, along with aggressive aerodynamic enhancements—including a massive rear wing and vented fenders—help reduce weight and increase downforce.

The car rides on a track-tuned suspension and comes equipped with rear-axle steering, carbon-ceramic brakes (optional), and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, ensuring razor-sharp handling.

Inside, the cabin is stripped down for performance with carbon fiber bucket seats, lightweight door pulls, and Alcantara trim.

Matalan is opening 10 new stores as part of huge shop shake-up – is your area getting one?

MATALAN is opening 10 new stores as part of a huge £25million shop shake-up.

The fashion and homeware retailer is set to pull up the shutters on sites in London, Essex, Hampshire and Northern Ireland this year.

Exact locations for these 10 stores are yet to be revealed by the chain.

Matalan is also upgrading 30 existing stores in 2025, as part of long-term plans to modernise its branches over the next three to five years.

The retailer is set to open 10 new stores annually and will also upgrade 30 existing locations per year over this period.

Stores will be renovated with improved layouts.

Some departments and services like fitting rooms and tills will be grouped together into a single accessible area.

Self-service tills are also being upgraded while checkout areas will be made larger across stores.

Matalan has already refurbished stores in Croydon, Linwood, Bristol Filton and Dumries.

The retailer said these branches have seen a “significant” increase in sales and better than expected since being upgraded.

Beyond upgrading stores and opening new ones, Matalan is also pumping cash into launching a new customer app.

James Dorling, Matalan’s property director, said: “Matalan storefronts have been a fixture of UK communities for 40 years, so it is only right that bricks-and-mortar retail remains at the centre of our transformation programme.

“With 10 exciting new store openings and extensive refurbishments across our estate, this investment marks a step-change in our strategy – creating a better, more seamless shopping experience for our loyal existing customers, while also introducing the Matalan brand to new consumers.”

In its latest results, Matalan, which currently runs around 230 stores across the UK, said its underlying profit improved despite a “challenging trading environment”.

In the 52 weeks to February 24, 2024, gross profit was £105.6million, up from £77.1million in 2023.

The retailer said these figures had improved due to lower levels of discounting and better profit margins.

OTHER RETAILERS EXPANDING

The retail sector has struggled in recent years, with shoppers’ budgets dented by high inflation, mortgage and rental costs.

The rise of online shopping has been a big blow to retailers with physical stores as well, with many forced to shut shops.

However, some retailers are bucking the trend and looking to open new branches across the UK.

First is Aldi, which is charging full steam ahead and splashing out £650million to open more stores.

The retailer is opening 10 new branches over the coming months, creating 400 new jobs.

Alongside the new sites, Aldi will also give 30 of its existing stores a fresh new look.

These will include popular locations in Manchester, Liverpool, Kent, Dorset and Scotland.

Posh retailer M&S is also opening 12 new stores across the UK, creating more than 500 stores.

Branches will open in Abingdon, Cannock, Farnham, Godalming and Northampton.

Full list of new Aldi supermarkets

OVER the next 14 weeks, ten brand new branches will open in:

  • Brighouse, West Yorkshire
  • Oldbury, West Midlands
  • Caterham, Surrey
  • Sheffield, South Yorkshire
  • Deeside, Wales
  • Fulham Broadway, London
  • Diss, Norfolk
  • Hilton, Derbyshire
  • West Denton, Newcastle
  • Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Supermarket shoppers rush to buy discontinued Cadbury chocolate scanning for just 45p

SUPERMARKET shoppers are rushing to buy a discontinued Cadbury chocolate that is scanning for just a few pence.

Eagle-eyed customers could not believe their luck when they spotted Cadbury Bournville fingers for 45p in Sainsbury’s.

Box of Cadbury Bournville Fingers dark chocolate biscuits.
Cadbury said it had discontinued its dark chocolate fingers

One bargain hunter shared the find on social media writing: “Bournville dark chocolate fingers scanning at 45p at Sainsbury’s in Crawley, West Green.”

The savvy shopper added there was “plenty” of stock left on shelves when they were at the store.

It comes days after The Sun reported the popular dark chocolate snack was being axed by Cadbury.

The crispy biscuits were a popular item within Cadbury’s Bournville range, which features dark chocolate products.

The dark chocolate snack originally launched back in October 2020.

In the past, the Fingers were praised for being less sweet than the ordinary Dairy Milk fingers.

A Cadbury’s owner Mondelēz International previously told The Sun: “We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business.

“Our Cadbury Bournville Fingers were discontinued this year.

They added: “However, we still have plenty of other delicious products for consumers to enjoy, such as our Cadbury Bournville Giant Dark Buttons and our classic Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Fingers.”

If you are keen to get your hands on Sainsbury’s bargain find, you may want to act quickly.

It is likely the supermarket is selling the axed chocolate at a discount to help shift the product before it disappears for good.

You may only be able to shop this product in-store as it appears to be unavailable online.

With that in mind, it might be worth ringing your local branch ahead of time to avoid a wasted trip.

You can find your nearest Sainsbury’s by visiting https://stores.sainsburys.co.uk

DISCONTINUED DARK CHOCOLATE

It comes as Brits have had to wave goodbye to a number of dark chocolate bars.

Toblerone axed the dark chocolate version of the bar earlier this year.

Mars axed its dark chocolate Bounty in 2023, leaving customers heartbroken.

At the time shoppers said the moves was “bad for their mental health“.

Others were quick to share their pain with one fan saying: “Noooooo. Dark chocolate Bountys beat milk chocolate Bountys hands down.

And it’s not only dark chocolate fans getting bruised, a number of beloved chocolate bars have vanished from shelves in recent years.

Nestlé confirmed two years ago that it had axed the Caramac bar, first launched in the late 1950s, due to “low sales“.

But the treat has been spotted sporadically at bargain retailers since.

However, it’s not all bad news sometimes iconic chocolate bars make a return.

Milky Way Crispy Rolls returned earlier after they were discontinued three years ago.

Why are products axed or recipes changed?

ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders.

Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether.

They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers.

There are several reasons why this could be done.

For example, government regulation, like the “sugar tax,” forces firms to change their recipes.

Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs.

They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable.

For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018.

It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version.

Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year.

Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks.

While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose.

JLo looks incredible in barely-there bikini and mesh bodysuit as she performs at WorldPride

JENNIFER Lopez looked incredible in a barely-there bikini and mesh bodysuit as she performed at WorldPride.

Pop superstar Jennifer, 55, flaunted her toned physique in the black two-piece with sizzling flame embellishments for her set in Washington DC.

She also wore a racy mesh bodysuit for her set[/caption]

She soon changed into a nude skin-tight bodysuit featuring glossy black panels which saw her arms fully covered in sleek latex.

Jennifer’s light brown tresses flew back in the wind and she accentuated her natural beauty with a full face of make-up.

Performing just a few miles away from the White House, the Ain’t Your Mama songstress told attendees: “We are singing and dancing right here on their front lawn, misbehaving. Yes, we are.”

Thanking her queer fans for their ongoing support, Jennifer added on the Festival Grounds at RFK Campus: “Over the years, your love and your support have been a source of strength for me and today I am here to celebrate you.

“I’m so happy to be able to be here to celebrate community, diversity, love, and freedom.”

For her finale, Jennifer covered George Michael’s Freedom! ’90 with backing vocals of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and a moving video tribute featuring LGBTQ+ pioneers including Marsha P. Johnson.

She also unveiled a brand-new Pride anthem, I’m Free, and gave fans an early glimpse of her next film project.

Jennifer debuted the title number from Kiss of the Spider Woman, her upcoming musical about a gay man surviving the horrors of an Argentinian prison by retreating into daydreams of a glamorous movie star.

This year’s WorldPride DC marked 50 years since the first Pride events were held in the U.S. capital.

The festival – part of a city-wide celebration lasting several weeks – included a major parade, protest marches, and performances from big names like Doechii, Cynthia Erivo, and Troye Sivan.

Stars including Paris Hilton, Tinashe, Trisha Paytas and Betto Who also took to the stage.

It comes just weeks after JLo was slammed by fans for an “embarrassing” American Music Awards routine, which saw her kiss both male and female dancers.

Her lively choreography opened the Las Vegas event on Memorial Day, and saw the I’m Real popstar belt out a variety of the year’s top hits.

As Jennifer transitioned from singing Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things into Teddy Swims’ Lose Control, she swooped in for a kiss with her backing dancers.

First she shared a smooch with a male dancer, before a female grabbed her head for an extended snog.

The unexpected kisses saw JLo blasted by fans who were left hugely confused by her behaviour.

One suggested on X she had “lost the plot” while another posted: “Why is Jennifer Lopez kissing everyone at the AMAs?”

Another viewer wrote: “Just looked up from my phone and JENNIFER LOPEZ IS KISSING A GIRL?!?!”

Others then suggested the Maid In Manhattan actress had staged the routine intentionally to make ex husband Ben Affleck jealous, after their divorce was finalised.

JLo stripped to a semi-sheer catsuit adorned with silver panels and jewel detail for her performance, cutting a glam figure as she styled her hair poker-straight.

The AMAs host kicked off with her 2012 tune Dance Again before following with some of the year’s top hits including Billie Eilish’s Birds Of A Feather and Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us.

She also made her mark on the event, which saw 80-year-old Rod Stewart honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, with a series of outfit changes.

The star was back hosting the AMAs after having previously stepped into the role in 2015.

The Love Don’t Cost A Thing vocalist first graced the AMAs stage in 2001 and has gone onto perform 10 times at the prestigious awards.

Previously, event bosses gushed over JLo’s return to the AMA’s stage – as other stars including Taylor Swift gave the event a miss.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” Jay Penske, the CEO of Dick Clark Productions said.

“Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show.

“We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick off celebration of summer.”

His three biggest rivals attended his farewell presentation[/caption]

A special on-court presentation on day one was attended by the Spanish tennis king’s great rivals Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

A plaque was unveiled in his honour and event boss Amelie Mauresmo said he could work with the event in years to come, possibly as an ambassador.

She said: “It’s now the common desire of the tournament and of Rafa to have some form of collaboration.

“We focused on what was happening this year with the communications campaign and homage.

“But we will resume our discussions so this story the tournament has had with Rafa over the past 20 years may continue in one way or another.”

Former Wimbledon and Australian Open champ Mauresmo said the event may continue to use line judges in 2026 — even though the other three Grand Slams axed them in favour of calls automatic from Hawk Eye.

Mauresmo, 45, said: “We are The Last of the Mohicans to some extent with line judges so will look at that question again, with the pluses and minuses.

“We couldn’t say that the system of electronic refereeing on clay courts was very reliable so the question remains open.”

AMAZON is selling the perfect-sized cabin bag for Ryanair flights – and its cheaper than Primark.

Now that summer is finally upon us, and with temperatures set to ramp up again next week, many of us are likely making plans for trips abroad.

The cabin bag extends to meet easyJet’s requirements[/caption]

Finding a bag that meets the strict size guidelines of airlines can be tricky, but thankfully, Amazon has the perfect product to keep travellers at ease.

Whether it’s a romantic getaway, or a work trip, the Cabin Bag will hold everything you need for a short trip away.

The under-seat bag is 40 X 20 X 25, meaning that it’s the exact maximum size Ryanair allows for cabin bags.

Plus, the nifty bag can also be extended to 46 X 36 X 20cm, meaning its the perfect size for easyJet flights.

The small bag is made from waterproof material, and can carry a heavy load, so you can be guaranteed that it will get you through your holiday without any drama.

Plus, it can be worn as a cross body bag, or a handbag, depending on your style.

The bag is perfect for holding, clothes, makeups, books and anything else you might need for a short trip away.

It comes in two colours, black and silver, and is priced at just £9.99, making it perfect for penny pinchers.

Plus, it’s cheaper than Primark’s Quilted Under Seat Cabin Bag which is priced at £12.

The Primark bag is also the perfect size for Ryanair flights, but does not extend to the size of easyJet’s restrictions.

Shoppers have flooded the Amazon website with praise for the purse friendly bag.

One shopper said: “What a great little bag this was.

“Really good value for money and has been a really good buy.”

A second person said: “Great item, well made and fit for purpose!

Advice for flying with Ryanair

  • All Ryanair passengers can bring a small personal bag on board but this must fit under the seat in front of you, but it must be no bigger than 40cm x 20cm x 25cm
  • Any over-sized cabin bags will be refused at the boarding gate and put in the hold for a fee
  • Ryanair also charges passengers up to £55 check-in at the airport
  • Anyone who loses their card at the airport will have to pay a £20 reissue fee
  • Book to sit in the front five rows if you want to head off the plane first
  • Extra legroom seats can be found in rows 1 A, B, C or 2 D, E, F as well as row 16 and 17 near the emergency exit
  • The worst seat on Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft is also 11A because of its lack of window.

“The expansion facility with the base zip is particularly clever.”

A third person said: “Very good quality for the price and would 100% recommend as hand luggage.

“I expected it to be smaller, bearing in mind the price, but it was actually a great size!”

Airlines have strict restrictions on what you can take on board flights, with customers only able to take a small bag on for free.

Passengers have to pay for any larger bags they wish to take on board.
