“A few idiots will throw a rock”: Star Wars Actor’s Heartfelt Statetment on LA Riots and Criticism for Donald Trump

The Star Wars franchise has been political in its design from the get-go. The original trilogy is largely seen as an analogy for the world’s rebellion against the Nazis and Adolf Hitler during World War II and later films and series built on this premise of a rebellion’s fight against a fascist empire. Political tensions […]

ITV presenter set for mad dash from Epsom Derby after son qualified for US Open alongside Rory McIlroy and Co

ITV Racing pundit Jason Weaver has been given a major headache after seeing his son qualify for the US Open.

Weaver, 53, worked for the broadcaster for their coverage of Epsom last weekend and will return to viewers’ TV screens for coverage of Royal Ascot.

Weaver said he was so proud of his son’s achievement before going into his travel plans[/caption]

However, Weaver has had to undergo a mad dash to watch his son, Tyler, and fulfil his punditry duties.

It comes after English golfer Tyler qualified for the third major of the year as one of three amateurs to take five available spots in Atlanta last Monday.

And that will see him face off with the likes of Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler on the green of Oakmont County Club.

The event starts on June 12 and runs through to June 15.

Proud dad and ex-jockey Weaver dashed directly over to Oakmont, PA, United States, to watch Tyler, 20, play after the Derby on Saturday.

But straight he will then fly back to the UK for ITV Ascot duties.

The famous race event begins on June 17 and runs through to June 21.

Tyler said qualifying was, “up there with my biggest achievement”.

Meanwhile, Weaver Sr said: “I am super, super proud because I know the hard work that has been put in.

“You have to put such a shift in to reach that kind of level because it is about the physical side of things as well as the skill and it is a great achievement.

“It will be even more special with his older brother Max caddying, and Tyler has timed his qualification to perfection as far as I am concerned.

“The Oaks on Friday, the Derby on Saturday, then we fly out to Oakmont on Sunday, and return to the UK the following Sunday before heading straight to Royal Ascot.”

On playing at the US Open, Tyler added: “Playing in a major championship is a dream of mine and it still hasn’t quite sunk in that I will be teeing it up at Oakmont.

“I am extremely lucky to have the support network that I do and none of this would be possible without them.

“My family are just as excited as I am.”

Tyler is currently in the top 30 for the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

In 2023 he won the English Boys’ Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and was the runner-up in the 2023 English Amateur.

Inside Sonia O’Sullivan’s Rome trip as she savours historic sights while cheering on Irish athletics successor

SONIA O’Sullivan took in Rome’s historic sights – while also savouring seeing the present and future of Irish athletics in action.

The 2000 Olympics silver medallist was in attendance at Friday’s Diamond League meeting where Sarah Healy stormed to a first-ever victory at that elite grade.

The 24-year-old ran 3:59.17 to romp to victory in the 1,500m at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday night.

The Dubliner surged to the front in the last 40 metres to edge Australian duo Sarah Billings (3:59.24) and Abbey Caldwell (3:59.32).

Afterwards she beamed: “I’m obviously really happy to come away with the win.

“It was a really competitive field, I thought it wouldn’t be crazy quick and it was quite crowded, there was a lot of bodies and I was further back than I wanted to be the whole time.

“But I tried to stay patient and in the last lap I had to make a good few moves, which I was happy with, especially on the home straight.

“I know my shape is good, I ran a big 3km PB two weeks ago so I know I’m really fit.

“Hopefully a PB in the 1500m is coming for me soon but today, I just wanted to compete for the win.

“I know I’m good at hard, fast races, but races like this were more where I struggled so I’m really, really happy to win – it’s really cool.”

Healy has been edging towards victory in recent times, having finished third in the 3,000m at the Rabat Diamond League.

She will next race in 1,500m at the Paris Diamond League on June 20, and revealed the secret behind her success.

She added: “I’m having a lot of fun which is the main thing. And it’s probably why I’m running so well.”

2025 is already set up to be a stunning year for Healy, who claimed European gold as recently as March.

The Irish star dominated the 3,000m at the Euro Indoors, crossing the line in a brilliant 8:52.86, bagging her first senior international title in style.

She followed that up by finishing sixth in the same discipline at the World Indoors in Nanjing later that same month.

Healy was in contention throughout and only lost touch with the leaders in the final 400m when gold medal winner Freweyni Hailu of Ethiopia kicked clear.

Healy crossed the line in 8.40.00, just 13 days after she won the European title in Apeldoorn.

She said: “It was a pretty solid race from me. I put myself in the right position from the start.

“I expected the race to be faster, it ended up being slow with a big wind-up towards the end.

“When the big move was made at three laps to go, I was a little too far back and had a lot to make up.

“I think sixth is a pretty solid result for me and I’m pretty happy with it, but it does leave me hungry for more.”

KYLIE Jenner looked incredible in a skintight silver mini-dress, as she stepped out for a friend’s birthday party in LA.

It comes just days after reality star Kylie, 27, finally revealed details of her cosmetic surgery.

The Kardashians star looked incredible in the skintight dress that showed off her boob job.

The make-up mogul pulled out all the stops for her friend’s birthday at The Nice Guy in LA.

Stepping out in the silver dress, Kylie made sure to turn heads.

The sexy outfit clung to her curves in all the right places, and showed off her shapely bum and toned legs.

She wore her trademark raven hair flowing down her back, and kept her make-up subtle and dewy.

SURGERY SECRETS

The sexy dress showed off the results of her boob job.

Just days ago Kylie finally spilled the beans on the size of implants and who performed the surgery.

The admission was in response to influencer Rachel Leary, who had praised her chest as “the most perfect, natural boob job ever” and begged for specifics.

Last week Rachel uploaded a video asking Kylie to share what she “asked for” when getting her breasts done.

She captioned it: “Help a girl out @Kylie Jenner, I just want to know how to get them to sit like that, respectfully.”

To the surprise of many, the beauty mogul replied directly to the clip, writing: “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol.”

The TikTok exchange comes two years after Kylie first confirmed she had undergone a secret breast augmentation at 19 – something she denied for years.

Kylie’s surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, is a well-known celebrity doctor and is a longtime favourite of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

He performed Kris Jenner’s facelift on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, gave Kourtney Kardashian her boob job, and even carried out a revision facelift for Caitlyn Jenner pre-transition.

Kylie first confirmed her surgery in a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, revealing she had the procedure done before giving birth to daughter Stormi, now seven.

She told Stassie Karanikolaou: “I got my breasts done before Stormi. Within six months of having Stormi – not thinking I would have a child when I was 20 – they were still healing.”

She admitted she regretted the decision, adding:
“I had beautiful breasts, like natural t*ts, just gorgeous… and I just wished, obviously, I never got them done to begin with.”

“I would recommend anyone who was thinking about it to wait until after you have children. I have a daughter too. I would be heartbroken if she wanted to get her body done at 19.”

Kylie’s latest comments marked a major shift from years of denying surgery rumours.

In 2015, the influencer denied breast enhancement on her app, attributing her changing shape to weight gain and ageing.

Harvey Elliott admits ‘conversation’ needs to be had over Liverpool future to avoid ‘wasting’ career on the bench

HARVEY ELLIOTT warned Arne Slot he won’t “waste” his career and watch from the bench at Liverpool.

The attacker, 22, collected a Premier League title medal this term at Anfield but played just 360 minutes across 18 appearances.

The boyhood Reds fan is in Slovakia as part of the England U21 squad looking to defend their European Championship crown for what could be the start of a big summer.

A host of clubs are considering making a move for the £45m-rated ex-Fulham man and he admitted he may have to leave for the good of his career.

Elliott said: “It’s just a situation that me and the team on my behalf have to have a conversation about.

“I’m coming into an age now where I’m 22, I’m going to be 23 next season and I don’t really want to be wasting years on my career because it’s a short career. You don’t know what’s going to happen. Touch wood it doesn’t, but injuries and things, it could shorten it.

“It’s a situation that, as I’ve said before, I need to reflect. I need to see if I’m content in doing what I’m doing and how can I improve as a player because that’s the most important thing. That’s the main thing, really.

“I just want to improve and be the best possible version of myself and the best player I can be. If that’s to go somewhere else, then it’s a decision that I’m going to have to make and I just need to see what happens.”

Elliott, who came through QPR’s academy before making the move to Fulham prior to being snapped up by Liverpool in 2019, added: “Nothing makes me want to leave. I love the club, I love the fans, the team. I support them as well. But as I said, most importantly, it’s just about what’s best for my career. I just need to make that decision.”

One of the highlights of Elliott’s campaign, which was delayed due to a fractured foot, came in the Champions League.

He scored a last-ditch winner at Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16 first leg just 47 seconds after replacing Mohamed Salah, but even that moment failed to convince Slot to hand him a start in the next game.

He said: “PSG was kind of a high for me, especially with the Premier League game coming up a few days later. I thought maybe it was an opportunity for me to get a start and to showcase what I can do and just get a nice run out.

“The boss is the boss. He’s the man in charge. He’s the reason why we’ve won the league, because of his decisions. I can’t complain. I just need to make sure I’m ready and to keep going.”

One man who does have total faith in Elliott is Lee Carsley, the man he enjoyed Euro success with two years ago.

Elliott and Charlie Cresswell are the only survivors from that squad in Slovakia and the Liverpool man says he is loving the leadership role he has.

He added: “I’ve always taken that role in my stride. Not only for myself, I want the whole team to do well. I want all the players to do well.

Harvey Elliott's 2024-25 Liverpool season statistics.

“Everyone’s got quality here. We have one aim and one goal, which is to win it. I’ll try as hard as I can to make sure that happens.”

England kick-off their Euro campaign against the Czech Republic on Thursday and then face Slovenia three days later and finish the group stage against Germany on Wednesday 18 June.

All of the Young Lions’ matches are being broadcast on Channel 4.

They are £5.99 cheaper and are available in baby pink, white, brown and black[/caption]

Many of us will own or recognise the iconic Wide Strap Vest Tops from Zara.

But now, Primark has released a brand new range of vests that look practically identical.

Not only are they strikingly alike and come in very similar colourways, but they are half the price of the stylish buys from Zara.

The popular vest tops will set shoppers back £11.99, but luckily for those on a budget, you can nab Primark’s new alternatives for only £6 – yes, you heard that correctly.

So if your purse feels tighter than ever before and you fancy saving yourself £5.99, you’ll need to get your shoes at the ready and head down to your nearest Primark store, and fast.

Posting on social media, employees from the Primark store in Trafford, Manchester, gave fashionistas a close-up look at the new vests.

Alongside the short clip, the employees wrote: “New £6 second skin vests.”

The stylish vests, which feature a scoop neck and a sleeveless design, are sure to be a summer essential for many.

They can be dressed up or dressed down for a variety of different occasions and are available in baby pink, white, brown and black.

While they’ll look perfect paired with denim shorts and trainers for running errands, they’re also great dressed up with a flowy maxi skirt and sandals for summer days.

Not only this, but with these versatile tops, you can even add a blazer, pair of trousers and loafers for a smart office look.

And that’s not all, as they can also be layered with a jumper or bomber jacket for stylish outfits all year round.

Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget

By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor

AS someone who’s no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it’s about time that celebrities started catching on too.

For as long as I’ve been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those “I have nothing to wear” moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect.

And I’m definitely not alone – on any Friday or Saturday night, you’ll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time.

But no matter what, Primark always delivers.

Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores.

While Rita’s not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she’s proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less.

Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham – if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards.

With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I’m sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.

Fashion fans beam

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @prmrktraffordpalazzo, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 154,100 views.

Not only this, but it’s also amassed 12,300 likes, 39 comments, 1,502 saves and 4,796 shares.

Top Primark summer buys

IF you're looking for more Primark summer buys, then you've come to the right place.

Shoppers have recently been raving about the new Miffy PJs from Primark.

Others were desperate to nab the new leopard print nightwear.

If animal print is your thing, you’ll want to check out the new maxi skirts.

The haltnerneck tops are perfect for summer.

If you’re on a budget, these trousers are identical to a pair from Zara, but without the hefty price tag.

There’s brilliant travel essentials for less than £10.

And if you plan on heading to the beach, you won’t want to miss these crochet bags.

Another added: “Love the pink and brown.”

A third commented: “Love these.”

Meanwhile, someone else gasped: “Oh my god fireeee.”

Whilst one fashionista beamed: “They’re so cute.”
