Sick moment vile yob shouts ‘f*** foreigners’ while setting family’s home on FIRE in ‘racist’ riot carnage

THIS is the vile moment yobs shouted “f*** foreigners” while setting a family’s home on fire in “racist” riot carnage.

Hundreds gathered on the streets of Ballymena in Northern Ireland on Wednesday facing police armed with riot shields and water cannon on the third night of anti-immigrant demonstrations.

Video footage emerged on social media today showing masked thugs breaking into a house and stoking a fire in the kitchen.

It is unclear who the property belonged to, but a man filming the scenes on his phone can be heard screaming “f*** the foreigners”.

He grabs a kettle and while thrusting it into the air in front of a group of thugs, he shouts “yes! f*** the foreigners”.

The protests erupted in the northern town of Ballymena after the arrest of two teenagers accused of attempting to rape a young girl.

The pair appeared Monday in court, where they asked for a Romanian interpreter.

Police have not confirmed the ethnicity of the teenagers, who remain in custody, but areas attacked on Monday and Tuesday included neighbourhoods where Romanian migrants live.

Ministers from every party in the province’s power-sharing executive strongly condemned “the racially motivated violence witnessed in recent days”.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the unrest in Ballymena “mindless violence”.

Around 20 miles southeast of the town, masked men set a leisure centre in Larne on fire.

The centre was temporarily sheltering people from Ballymena who had been evacuated.

People living in Ballymena described “terrifying” scenes in which attackers had targeted “foreigners” over the previous days.

Some people fixed signs to their houses indicating they were Filipino residents, or hung up British flags.

Northern Ireland’s First Minister Michelle O’Neill, the Sinn Fein vice-president, called the violence “abhorrent”.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said in a statement that its officers “came under sustained attack over a number of hours with multiple petrol bombs, heavy masonry, bricks and fireworks in their direction”.

Some of the injured officers required hospital treatment.

Police Assistant Chief Constable Ryan Henderson on Tuesday denounced the violence as “racist thuggery” and said it was “clearly racially motivated and targeted at our minority ethnic community and police”.

Love Island’s Ben reveals hair transplant at just 22 years old with before and after video

LOVE Island star Ben Holbrough has revealed he had a hair transplant at just 22 years old.

The model and private hire taxi driver went for the op last year before heading into the Majorca villa.

Ben‘s before and after results were seen in a video posted by 360 Hair Clinic.

They said: “Hair Update: 6 Months Post-Transplant.

“This clip was taken a year ago, just 6 months after @ben.holbrough hair transplant and even back then, the results were clear.
Fuller. Thicker. Healthier-looking hair.

“We facilitated Ben’s surgery with a trusted UK-based surgeon, alongside in-clinic treatments and consistent use of our 360 Optimum Hair products …

“And as you can see on your screens watching Love Island, Ben’s hair is looking better than ever.”

He’s not the only boy in the villa this year to have the op.

Harry Cooksley, 29, also had a transplant at 24 years old.

While he’s now got a full head of hair, that wasn’t always the case for the Guildford lad – who jetted to Turkey to have the procedure.

Appearing in a YouTube video posted by the clinic he visited in Istanbul, Harry explained the process and showed off the before and after results.

He said: “It was a perfect experience for something that I really wanted to have done and I’m very glad that I found EstePera.”

Ben has been causing a stirl in the villa after he ended things with Toni last night.

Ben told Shakira he got the ick with Toni and Shakira let Toni know.

Toni confronted Ben, asking: “I’ve heard from people you said I’m giving you the ick?”

It quickly turned sour and he told her: “I don’t feel like me and you have got that spark if I am being honest.”

Looking taken aback she replied ‘okay’ as he continued: “That is just me being honest but I know when I have got it with someone.

“That I feel it straight away. But yeah I don’t feel like you and me have got it.”

Toni snapped back: “I mean I don’t think that technique is going to work for you here.”

He asked what she meant and she replied: “Right away off the bat.”

Smirking, he responded: “You’d be surprised. I feel like sparks have already been made.”

A very unhappy Toni hit back:  “Good luck pal.”

Ditch Cornwall for my seaside county this summer – we get less rain, an earlier sunrise… and we actually want tourists

EVERYONE might be heading to Cornwall this summer for their summer staycation – but my English county is a much better option.

Born and raised in Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, my teenage summers were spent eating chips on the quay and hosting beach parties with my friends.

My home county is a much better option that Cornwall[/caption]

I remember running down to the beach after school to catch the sunset

I’ve since travelled the world, from Iceland to California, yet nothing compares to the sunsets I’ve seen from my bedroom window in Norfolk.

Not only does it get less rain than Cornwall (which is actually one of the UK’s wettest regions) but we get a much earlier sunrise and we want tourists to visit.

The vast open space makes our skies clear and full of stars, and I’ve even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights from Brancaster harbour.

From discovering secluded beaches to trying just about every fish and chip shop along the coast, I’ve put together the perfect guide to my home county to show you why Norfolk is the best place to spend your summer in the UK.

The Best of Beaches

When it comes to beach days in Norfolk, we’re truly spoilt for choice.

Away from the packed and pebbled beaches of the south coast, here you’ll find stretches of golden sand that go on for miles.

If you’re looking for a slice of private paradise, the beach at Holme is my favourite spot hands-down.

As the masses flock to Sheringham and Cromer, the dunes of Holme are only visited by the odd dog-walker and locals in the know.

Nearby Thornham beach is equally as beautiful, and often even more quiet.

The walk down to the shore through the pine forest and into the marshes is long but scenic, perfect for those seeking seclusion.

It usually takes about 20 minutes to walk from the main road down to the sea, but you’ll soon realise the walk is worth it once you have the whole stretch of sand to yourself!

The marshes on the way down to Thornham make the walk worthwhile[/caption]

Another way to take in the views of Norfolk’s Blue Flag beaches is to walk the famous Norfolk Coast Path (or at least a section of it, unless you fancy walking 84 miles from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea)!

Smack bang in the middle of the Coast Path you’ll find the White Horse in Brancaster-Staithe.

You’ll spot their Marshside bar from the path, the perfect pit-stop for a pint on your journey.

Soak up the Sights

It may be named England’s ‘flattest county’, but Norfolk’s wide and sandy coastline makes for some of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever seen.

For the most breathtaking of views, you’ll want to catch the sunset from Hunstanton Cliffs.

It’s the only spot on the East coast that faces West, so it’s the perfect place to park up and watch the sun dipping into the sea.

My personal favourite way to watch the sunset is out on the sea in Burnham Overy Staithe.

The beach at Old Hunstanton is still one of my favourite spots to show my friends[/caption]

Bring your own, rent one or join a tour – paddleboarding is a great way to see Norfolk on the water[/caption]

Take a stand-up paddleboard (or take a lesson with North Norfolk Paddleboards from £48) and get out onto the marshes for a truly magical way to view the sunset on the water.

Alternatively, if you watch from Cley or Blakeney point, you might see a seal or two pop up to join you!

If you want to get up close and personal with the local seals, take a trip with Beans Seal Trips from Morston Quay to visit them out on the sandbanks.

The trips run every day from April through to October, and cost £20 per adult or £10 per child (pre-booking is essential, they’re very popular!)

Common seals and grey seals are dotted all along the North Norfolk coastline[/caption]

Fun for all the Family

Not only do we have stunning nature here in Norfolk, but there’s plenty of family-friendly attractions to keep the kids happy on your holiday.

Our coastline is dotted with picturesque seaside towns from Heacham to Cromer, packed with traditional arcades and endless activities.

I grew up bowling at Hunstanton Pier, and endlessly trying to win a giant Hello Kitty teddy at the Pop Inn Amusements in Wells (spoiler alert: she’s now sat on my bed).

If you’re bringing the kids, visit Hunstanton to explore the aquarium and meet Ernie the green sea turtle, or try your hand at the Aztec-themed crazy golf on the promenade.

Crabbing on the quay at Wells-next-the-Sea is a must on your trip to North Norfolk, and if you’re feeling brave, visit the next town along, Holkham, for their action-packed ropes course.

The coastal charm of ice cream parlours and amusements makes Norfolk the perfect pick for a traditional British holiday[/caption]

Top Food and Drink

In Norfolk you’ll be spoilt for choice for the best bites to eat.

From award-winning fish and chips to delicious stonebaked pizza, I’ve ticked just about every coastal restaurant off the list.

My top pick for traditional fish and chips has to be French’s in Wells-next-the-Sea.

There’s a historic rivalry between the two quayside chippies, French’s and Plattens, but French’s takes the cake with its fresh fish and tasty new potatoes.

You’ll see lines out the door during peak times, so it’s best to pop in early to avoid the queues.

French’s fish and chips – I promise they’re worth the wait![/caption]

I usually go just before midday – the queue that forms in the early afternoon often runs all the way into the evening.

If you can’t decide what you fancy, head to Thornham’s Drove Orchards.

Here you’ll find a variety of restaurants and pop-ups, so you can mix and match whatever you please.

Stop by Eric’s pizza for a traditional margherita in a unique Yurt, or pop into Mim’s for a scoop of gelato after a day of lounging in the sun.

My favourite part about living in Norfolk is how dog-friendly we are. A large majority of our pubs and cafés welcome dogs, so there’s no need to leave your furry friend at home.

If you’re looking for a solid pub with great food where you can bring your pet along, the Rose and Crown in Snettisham has a dog-friendly bar and restaurant, as well as a cosy, walled beer garden.

But perhaps my favourite corner of the coast is Old Hunstanton Beach Café.

After letting the dog run wild on the beach, you can stop by for a great full English and a cup of tea.

But the best part is their dog wall of fame, where you can pin a picture of your four-legged friend to remember your trip together.

Ryanair introduce brand new fine to clamp down on ‘disruptive’ passengers ahead of busy summer season

RYANAIR has introduced a new €500 fine in an attempt to tackle “disruptive” passengers.

The new initiative kicks in today, and will see the fine issued to passengers whose behaviour results in them being taken off the flight.

In a statement, Ryanair explained that passengers “expect to travel in a comfortable and stress-free environment, free from unnecessary disruption caused by a tiny number of unruly passengers”.

It added that the issue of disruptive passengers impacts every airline across the industry.

And with the introduction of this new fine, Ryanair remains committed to pursuing those who disrupt flights for civil damages.

But they noted that the €500 fine will be issued to people “at a minimum”.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “It is unacceptable that passengers are made suffer unnecessary disruption because of one unruly passenger’s behaviour.

“To help ensure that our passengers and crew travel in a comfortable and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption caused by a tiny number of unruly passengers, we have introduced a €500 fine, which will be issued to any passengers offloaded from aircraft as a result of their misconduct.

“While these are isolated events which happen across all airlines, disruptive behaviour in such a confined shared space is unacceptable, and we hope that our proactive approach will act as a deterrent to eliminate this unacceptable behaviour onboard our aircraft.”

When a plane has to land to allow police to board and arrest a disruptive passenger, it can cause huge issues for holidaymakers.

This can include distress, delays and even missed connections.

It comes after a number of flights were affected after passengers on board became disruptive.

Back in January, the airline announced legal action to recover losses from disruptive passengers.

Legal proceedings had reportedly been filed in the Irish Circuit Court.

The airline is claiming €15,000 in damages against a passengers it alleges disrupted a flight from Dublin to Lanzarote last year.

The flight was diverted to Porto as a result of the passenger’s behaviour .

The flight was then delayed overnight, which resulted in 160 passengers facing “unnecessary disruption as well as losing a full day of their holiday.”

The €15,000 reportedly takes into account the cost of overnight accommodation, landing costs and passenger expenses.

We’re fed up of living on ‘Britain’s most dangerous road’ that’s like a scene out of Mad Max with car crashes every WEEK

FURIOUS Lewisham residents are fed up with living on a road dubbed “Britain’s most dangerous,” after years of accidents, traffic and pollution.

Locals in Verdant Lane, Catford, say their road is like a scene from “Mad Max” with crashes occurring on a weekly basis.

A frustrated group of neighbours have reportedly been working hard to put pressure on Lewisham Council to bring in traffic calming measures, but say nothing has been done.

William Bloomfield, 37, is a filmmaker who has lived on Verdant Lane for over five years with his wife and toddler, and likened the road to the popular action series

He said: “We are having at least one crash a week – if not more.

“It is terrifying. You get cars blasting down at 60mph.

“It often makes Verdant Lane feel more like a scene from Mad Max than a residential road filled with families and young children.”

William worries about the damage the pollution may have on his son’s health[/caption]

According to residents, the southeast London residential street is surrounded by busy A roads meaning drivers regularly use it as a shortcut.

This has left locals fed up after years of accidents, traffic pollution you can “taste”, and a lack of safe places to cross.

William added: “We are just getting nowhere with the council. There isn’t the support that we need.

“We have been talking to them for a year now and nothing has happened.”

As well as the regular crashes and residents’ safety concerns, William also worries about the large amount of pollution caused.

He said: “The risk to health and life is quite severe. The pollution is so bad. I have a toddler who is coughing constantly.”

In a bid to help this problem, the Together for Verdant Lane group raised thousands of pounds to plant some trees along the pavements.

However, William claims they were denied permission to plant them as cars “might crash into them.”

He said: “It’s a dangerous situation.

“It is quite scary to live here sometimes.”

Gary and his family are considering leaving the area if action isn’t taken[/caption]

Another fed up resident, Gary Nolan, 37, said: “There are serious accidents on a regular basis.

“It is a weekly occurrence to see some sort of incident.

“It is frustrating that we are not seeing any action.”

Gary has lived on the road for over three years and said the problems are especially frustrating at this time of year as he can’t open his windows without letting in the pollution.

A freedom of information request submitted by residents revealed that there were as shocking 74 reported crashes on Verdant Lane in the span of just five years, between 2019-2024.

This is over three times that of surrounding roads.

Lewisham council have reportedly told locals that responsibility for the junction lies with TfL, who residents claim have also done nothing.

Gary, who works in a bank, said: “To me it seems like TfL have lost control of the junction and we aren’t seeing any proposals from them on how to overcome the problem.

“I am an able-bodied middle-aged man and even I feel vulnerable here.

“If I was slightly older or had children, I would have to avoid the junction at all costs.”

He fearfully added: “It is only a matter of time before there is a major incident where someone is significantly injured.”

Gary is at his wits-end as he went on to explain that the pollution is so bad that layers of black dust form on his windows.

He said: “If we don’t see an improvement then we will have to consider leaving the area.”

Gary’s partner, Aine Walsh, 36,  appears equally as disheartened.

The pharmacist said: “You notice the pollution in the house.

“After a couple of days there is a layer of pollution on our door from the traffic.

“Luckily neither of us have asthma but I think if you did or you had kids you would be very worried about breathing that in.”

With regards to the safety of the road, she added: “The main problem is crossing in order to get to the station.

“It can take five or six minutes to cross as there is no pedestrian crossing.

“It is really not safe.”

With the council and TfL failing to take action, Aine “can only see it getting worse.”

In 2013, nine-year-old Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, was the first person in the UK to have air pollution recognised as a factor in her death, and lived nearby.

She died following an asthma attack with an inquest later revealing that pollution from the A205 South Circular Road “made a material contribution” to her tragic death.

Anna Resier, 34, moved to the area with her husband and toddler three years ago.

She expressed her concerns as a mother, saying that she is constantly afraid for her own child.

Anna works as a climate change policy worker, and said: “In the winter my son was quite ill and had a cough and we were worried that we were giving him asthma just by living here.”

With incidents happening weekly, residents are desperate for action to be taken[/caption]

Anna reflected on Ella’s passing, adding: “It wasn’t long ago that the first registered death happened from air pollution at the end of the road.

“It is a constant worry. We have had quite serious conversations about moving.

“At peak times you can taste the pollution in the air. It is not a pleasant experience.”

Residents say that despite their road’s coverage in the press which led to it being dubbed “the most dangerous in the UK”, very little action has been taken.

A TfL spokesperson said: “Enabling all Londoners to travel on the transport network safely remains our top priority.

“We take people’s concerns about road safety seriously and always welcome feedback from local residents.

“There are a combination of factors which can cause congestion issues at the A205 junction with Verdant Lane, including a narrowing of the A205 under the railway bridge and the current works at the junction with Baring Road.

“We have recently reviewed the signal timings at this location and will continue to monitor roads in the area to ensure the road network works for all.”

A Lewisham Council spokesperson also said: “We have been working with this group of residents over the past few months, holding regular meetings to discuss the issues they have raised.

“During these meetings, we have also invited representatives from Transport for London (TfL) to hear the concerns first-hand and ensure they are reported for further investigation.

“The junction that has raised the most concern is part of the main road network and therefore falls under TfL’s jurisdiction.

“As such, we will continue to work closely with them moving forward.

“We are currently conducting surveys and traffic counts to assess the number of vehicles using Verdant Lane and their average speeds.

“In addition, we are exploring suitable tree-planting options that will not interfere with existing parking arrangements, dropped kerbs, or underground infrastructure.

“Residents will be kept informed of the outcomes of this work.

“The Council remains committed to working with the community to improve safety, reduce pollution, and enhance the local environment.”
