If you are keen to shop Home Bargains cut price deal you will need to head one of its physical branches.

That’s because the deal does not appear to be available at its online store.

If you do plan to shop in store it may be worth ringing up your nearest branch ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Home Bargains by heading online and searching storelocator.home.bargains.

HOW TO SAVE MONEY AT HOME BARGAINS

Knowing when to pick up products is just one way to save money at Home Bargains – there’s a host of other hacks you can use to slash costs.

First, you’ll want to shop around before buying any product, which means using price comparison sites such as www.pricespy.co.uk and www.latestdeals.co.uk.

The Google Shopping tab is another great way to see how a product compares price wise as well

Also if you are looking for dupes for pricey products, Home Bargains can be great.

The Sun also recently spoke to deals expert, Tom Church who said it is best to head to the store first thing in the morning to grab the best deals.

That is because most the larger Home Bargains stores get deliveries at around 7:30am everyday.

Tom said to make sure you take a good look around as you enter the store.

He explained: “Often, Home Bargains keeps the best deals at the front to lure you in. You don’t want to walk straight past them on the way in!.”

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

A THIRTY-two-year-old Ford Escort has sold for a massive £105,750 – over five times its original price.

The red 1993 Ford Escort RS Cosworth only had one owner who had done just 12,530 miles in it.

The car even came with its original radio – complete with tape cassette player[/caption]

It had a top speed of 137mph and could do 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds.

In 1993 it was worth £20,000 – equivalent to £43,000 now in today’s money.

Supplied new in November 1993 the Escort RS Cosworth ‘Big Turbo’ rolled off the production line finished in the rare colour combination of Radiant Red with a Polaris Grey Hexagon cloth interior.

It was described as in exceptional ‘time warp’ condition throughout, as reported by Luxury Auto News.

The original radio still showed the vehicle registration when switched on, the mandatory Vecta immobiliser was still in situ and functioning correctly and the original dealer number plates remained attached.

Ahead of the sale, the listing said: “Motorsport devotee John Phillips acquired the Escort as an early retirement present to himself and it was undoubtedly his ‘pride and joy’.

“It lived in its own garage from the day he bought it, never came out on wet days and was diligently maintained as and when required until his untimely passing in 2009 from which point the Escort remained interred in the same garage until recently removed.

“The history file is comprehensive and includes the original grey leather document wallet, the full complement of books and manuals.

“Its original tax disc holder, documentation relating to the ‘Options’ purchase scheme and the dealer handover sheet, plus of course various invoices, MoT Certificates and later tax discs.

“In readiness for sale, the cambelt and tensioner has been renewed and an oil and filter change carried out.

“However with minimal use over the last 15 or so years, we recommend that minor recommissioning may be required to ensure that everything is exactly as it should be.

“A rare and desirable homologation special in simply remarkable condition.”

It was sold for the eye-watering sum by Iconic Auctioneers in Northampton.

However, the pair haven’t hosted the show together in months with Leanne Hanafin replacing Suzanne.

After two years at the helm, Brian called it quits on his radio show with an emotional final farewell last Friday.

Suzanne, who’s been off air for months, made sure to bid farewell to her fans with a departure announcement posted just minutes before Brian’s.

And it has now been confirmed that Leanne Hanafin will continue in the slot joined by broadcaster Paul Ryder.

The presenting duo will take over the mid-morning show “all summer long” to fill the gap left after Brian and Suzanne’s departure.

In an announcement shared to Instagram, the radio hosts wrote: “We are THRILLED to announce that we are taking the reigns of mid-mornings on 98FM ALL SUMMER LONG.

“We are so grateful for the opportunity and we genuinely can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve got planned for the next couple of months – fun, laughs, chaos and of course, Dublin’s Good Times.

“So whether you’re in work, driving around the city, in the gym or wherever you may be, tune into us every day from 10am-1pm.”

Fans and friends flocked to the comment section to congratulate the pair.

Suzanne Kane wrote: “What a duo.”

Marty Guilfoyle said: “Dream team.”

Sean commented: “Let’s go – super proud as always.”

Another added: “Massive congrats.”

Brian admitted he’s had a “tough” time recently as he fought back the tears in his emotional farewell statement on 98FM last week.

He got teary-eyed as he signed off saying: “I promised myself I wasn’t going to get upset. You’re tearing up, don’t tear up!

FINAL FAREWELL

“I have had the best time here for nearly two and a half years. It’s been an absolute blast. It’s been an honour to sit in this chair for the length of time I have.

“I’m sure a lot of people thought, ‘Oh, Brian Dowling got a job – He’ll be in it six weeks and he’ll be gone’. I have given this show absolutely everything.

“I became a dad on this show. I’ve had television success on this show. I’ve had it all on this show.”

Brian has yet to disclose the reasons behind his decision to leave – as has his former co-host Suzanne.

The 46-year-old told listeners: “I can’t lie. It’s been tough recently, but I’ve tried to stay strong.

“I’ve stayed focused. I did my best. I’ve loved doing this. I’ve loved playing the music we’ve been playing.

“I’ve loved coming in every morning and chatting with Gavin and with Pat and with Nick and with Cathal and with Russell.”

Coronation Street fans were stunned to learn Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Price) new scaffolder beau Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) had a wife and teenage daughter.

Theo’s family were torn apart after his wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson) caught him and Todd passionately kissing.

Monday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Theo’s daughter Millie (Kaitlyn Earley) rock up at No.11 with another bombshell.

Todd overheard Millie on the phone, which led her to reveal she is six weeks pregnant.

Seeking advice from Todd, he encouraged her to take another pregnancy test just to be sure she’s pregnant before telling her dad.

But when Todd arrived back with a pregnancy test, Millie spilled her secret.

Theo was left reeling by the pregnancy news and blamed Todd for telling her to keep it a secret from him.

Theo agreed to move back into their family home with Millie to support her going forward – leaving Todd heartbroken.

Not knowing where he stands – has Millie broken the couple up for good?

And is Millie really pregnant? Or is it all a ploy to get her dad back home again?

Elsewhere, Brody suffered an epileptic fit on the street and was found by Kit, Bernie and Sarah – who swiftly took him to hospital.

The thankful teen stayed in overnight for observation, while Bernie decided to keep the beanie hat he was wearing.

She explained to Kit that he could use the hair from his hat as a DNA sample and finally find out if he is his biological son. But will Kit go ahead with it?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.

Soap's most harrowing teen storylines

We take a look at other harrowing teen soap storylines from soaps Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Belle Dingle’s schizophrenia in Emmerdale – Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) traumatic journey in Emmerdale took a dark turn when, after accidentally killing her best friend Gemma at just 16, her mental health began to spiral.

The storyline, which saw Belle struggling with her grief and guilt, showcased her battle with hearing Gemma’s voice inside her head, leading to a dramatic decline in her well-being.

Hannah Ashworth’s anorexia in Hollyoaks – Viewers were horrified as they watched Hannah (Emma Rigby), a seemingly innocent teen, spiral into dangerous behavior, starving herself in an attempt to achieve what she thought was the ideal body.

As Hannah’s condition worsened, the storyline became more intense, culminating in her being hospitalised for two months as she fought for her life.

Bethany Platt’s grooming ordeal in Coronation Street – Vulnerable schoolgirl, played by Lucy Fallon, was at the centre of one of Corrie’s darkest storylines to date when she fell under the spell of her older boyfriend and sexual predator.

The controversial scenes saw Nathan groom and manipulate the 16-year-old before coercing her into sleeping with his friends, with one of them raping her.

Whitney Dean’s abuse from Tony in EastEnders – Since the age of 12, she had been in a twisted relationship with her stepmum Bianca’s boyfriend, Tony King. The predator had groomed young Whit (Shona McGarty), making her believe she was in love and planning to run away with him.

On her 16th birthday, the traumatised teen finally revealed the years of abuse to Bianca. Tony was swiftly sent to prison sentenced for 13 years.

Driving licence changes launching TOMORROW will impact millions of UK motorists – are you affected?

MILLIONS of UK drivers face new rules tomorrow, changing what standard licences can legally cover.

From June 10, drivers across the UK with a standard Category B licence – the regular car licence – will be allowed to drive zero-emission vehicles weighing up to 4,250kg.

Drivers can also tow a trailer weighing up to 3,500kg, depending on their entitlement[/caption]

That’s 750kg more than the current limit and means millions of drivers across the UK will now be able to legally drive an electric van or small truck that would previously have required a higher licence category.

The rule change is aimed at making it easier for people and businesses to switch to greener vehicles, which often weigh more due to large battery packs or hydrogen fuel systems.

A typical medium-sized electric delivery van or passenger minibus can weigh close to 4,250kg, especially when fitted with extra equipment.

This marks a significant increase from the current 3,500kg limit and is expected to support the growing shift towards greener transport options.

A Category B licence is issued to anyone who has passed a standard car driving test.

It typically allows motorists to drive vehicles up to 3,500kg MAM with up to eight passenger seats.

Drivers can also tow a trailer weighing up to 3,500kg, depending on their entitlement.

Those who passed their test before 1 January 1997 usually have additional permissions, such as driving heavier vehicles and trailers with a combined MAM of up to 8,250kg.

They may also be permitted to drive a minibus with a trailer over 750kg.

Under the new rules, drivers with a Category B licence will be allowed to operate electric or hydrogen cars and vans up to 4,250kg.

Vehicles that have specialist equipment fitted to support disabled passengers may weigh up to 5,000kg, as long as the extra weight is due to that equipment.

The changes will also allow motorists to drive electric or hydrogen-powered minibuses under the same weight conditions.

While these changes expand the scope of vehicles that can be driven, they will not require any updates to the physical photocard licence.

The entitlements will be applied automatically and recognised without a new card being issued.

However, motorists are encouraged to check their driving licence information online to understand exactly what they are now allowed to drive.

The updated allowances will apply to typical Category B vehicles, including cars, SUVs, small trucks and vans.

With the heavier battery technology used in many zero-emission vehicles, the Government hopes these changes will make it easier for individuals and businesses to transition to electric transport.

The new rules also provide greater flexibility for towing.

Drivers will be allowed to tow a trailer as long as the combined MAM of the vehicle and trailer does not exceed 7,000kg.

For instance, if the vehicle weighs 4,250kg, the trailer must be no more than 2,750kg.

These adjustments are particularly beneficial for tradespeople and those transporting goods or equipment who are looking to use zero-emission alternatives.

Although more people will now be permitted to tow trailers, officials have stressed the importance of road safety.

Drivers must ensure they are comfortable with the size and handling of their vehicle and trailer, especially under these new weight limits.

Before setting off, checks should be made on the tow ball, electrical connections, wheels, tyres, lights and the load being carried.

The DVSA has issued guidance, warning: “When driving, you should understand how to safely manoeuvre the vehicle and trailer.

“If the trailer starts to snake or swerve, ease off the accelerator and reduce your speed gently.

“Do not brake harshly on a bend, as it makes the trailer unstable.”

The Government offers an online service for checking your driving entitlements and what restrictions may apply.

It’s especially important for anyone unsure about their rights, particularly if they passed their driving test before licensing rules changed in 1997.

Drivers in Northern Ireland should note that licence categories may differ slightly and should check regional guidance.

The changes come at a time when the UK is encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles to meet its net zero targets.

By removing barriers to operating heavier zero-emission vehicles, officials hope to support both private drivers and businesses in the switch away from petrol and diesel.

Although the changes do not affect all vehicle categories, they mark a key step in modernising licence entitlements in line with today’s vehicle technology.
