Iconic UK music festival is making a comeback 14 YEARS after being axed & will be the ‘biggest beach party’ ever

AN ICONIC British music festival is making a return, 14 years after it was scrapped.

T4 on the Beach, which was axed back in 2012, is getting revamped as Summer Fest on the Beach for 2026.

The hotly anticipated new festival will hit the shores of Weston-super-Mare next summer with huge international names set to perform.

“This is more than just a festival—it’s a full-blown celebration of music, nostalgia, and British summer magic”, festival founder Ian Rogers said.

“The response so far has been incredible, and we’re pulling out all the stops to make this the biggest beach party the UK has seen in years.

“Whether you grew up with T4 on the Beach or just love unforgettable live music, this is your chance to be part of something special.”

In T4 on the beach’s heyday, it hosted the likes of Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

However, the festival was axed after Channel 4 dropped the T4 brand back in 2012.

Festival lovers hoping to attend the rebranded festival next year can register their interest here.

Registering will mean you are the first to hear about pre-sales and artist updates.

T4 on the Beach was initially called Pop Beach and was held in Great Yarmouth from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, the one-day festival then moved to Weston-Super-Mare, which is where the new festival will be held.

In anticipation of the event, Visit Weston posted: “You’re going to absolutely LOVE THIS!

“Summer Fest On The Beach is a brand new festival launching in 2026, right here on the beach in Weston-super-Mare!

“The excitement around what this event could mean to our town is incredible.

“Think sunshine, sand, wide smiles, massive artists, beach bars, street food, and unforgettable moments, with the backdrop of our beautiful sunsets.”

iPhones hit by email chaos as major app freezes and crashes ‘driving users crazy’ – hidden button instantly fixes it

IPHONE users have complained that a mysterious bug is blocking them from accessing their emails.

Numerous people have reported that Apple’s Mail app is crashing and freezing.

Some say they’re left with a blank screen when trying to access their email[/caption]

It’s thought that the issue may be affecting some iPhone devices with iOS 18.5 installed.

“My mail app is refusing to load anything and just shows a white blank screen,” one person wrote on Reddit.

“I have been having this issue all day. Very frustrating!” another commented.

“This has been happening for a few days now and it’s driving me crazy,” a third yelled.

Apple’s own service status page doesn’t show any problems being investigated currently.

There are some workarounds – though it only appears to work temporary and success is mixed.

Some say simply restarting their iPhone helped for a bit.

Others have had said disabling their iCloud account in the Mail settings worked.

However, this will mean that you can’t access iCloud Mail on your device.

For the time being, it might be better to wait and access your emails manually online via your web browser.

If you have an iCloud Mail account, just go to icloud.com/mail.

For those who have other email accounts and want to try disabling their iCloud Mail from the app for now, go to Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts.

Just remember you’ll need to add it back again after if you rely on iCloud Mail.

iPhone tricks to try today

Here are some of the best...

  • Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
  • Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
  • Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
  • Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen (or swipe left to right on an iPhone X or later model), then tap in the bar and type a currency (like $200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
  • Check if you’re due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you’re down to 80% capacity. If you’re below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
  • Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier

Nepo baby with rock star dad and Hollywood A-list mum releases song moaning about being rich – can you guess who she is?

An image collage containing 1 images, Image 1 shows Screenshot from Romy Mars's "A-Lister" music video

IT’S a hard life being part of Hollywood royalty – and this nepo baby pop star-in-the-making wants to make sure everyone knows it.

But can you guess who this star’s famous family are?

In a cheeky parody of life in the limelight, new single A-Listers gives the highs and lows of being rich, from someone who has lived in it from the start.

Romy Mars, 18, dropped the song and music video this week, with A-Lister’s lyrics talking about how empty fame and fortune actually is.

She croons in the first verse: “Grant all of my wishes, riches to riches, and one day I’ll be bored with everything that I’ve got.

“Get out of fancy clothes right after they get the shot, Recreate scenes from Titanic on a flying bridge yacht.”

Romy knows the feeling better than most thanks to her famous family on both sides of her genetic line.

Her mother, Sofia Coppola, is a film director best known for Lost in Translation and Virgin Suicides.

She follows in the footsteps of her own father, the legendary Godfather director, Francis Ford Coppola.

Romy’s father is French musician and Phoenix frontman, Thomas Mars, whom Sofia met on the set of the Virgin Suicides in 1999 but got together with in the late 2000’s.

The pair have been married since 2011, and have two daughters, Romy and Cosima, both of whom have picked up their creative flair.

In the accompanying music video, Romy is seen being primped and pampered for a photoshoot, in between scenes of a runaway marriage, fighting through a crowd of paparazzi cameras, and spending a day by a pool in a mansion.

“I love this golden sunny West Coast, sceney plastic world,” she sings. “I miss being a real girl, sure, but I’m not a real girl anymore.”

After watching the video, fans commented that it reminds them of Paris Hilton’s music career.

Her launch into music comes two years after she went viral TikTok, making a vodka pasta sauce while declaring: “I’m grounded because I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend.”

The video racked up millions of views before it was eventually deleted, with her parents banning the then-16-year-old from having public social media accounts.

She’s since leaned into her privileged image, releasing an EP last year titled Stuck Up.

Waterford captain reveals ‘important’ message the squad received following LGFA Munster final loss

DEVELOPING the staying power required to go the distance will be essential if Waterford are to maintain their upward trajectory.

That is the assessment of skipper Emma Murray ahead of this weekend’s TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC opener against Dublin.

Murray and her team-mates were on course to deliver Waterford’s first Munster title in 23 years in the recent final against All-Ireland champs Kerry.

The Déise held a 0-10 to 0-6 lead entering the closing stages but had their hearts broken as Danielle O’Leary and Mary O’Connell netted late goals.

Murray told SunSport: “Obviously you’re a bit raw after losing a game like that when you know you’ve left a bit of silverware behind you.

“But you eventually see positives from the performance over 40, 50 minutes.

“We’ll certainly have to take huge learnings from it and bring them into our All-Ireland campaign. I suppose it’s about closing out games.

“The momentum shifted to Kerry in that last ten minutes and we struggled to get it back.

“The key message within the panel is the importance of making sure you’re performing for 60-plus minutes.

“The game isn’t over until that whistle goes. You have to sustain your performance until you get there.”

Despite that disappointment, Waterford are a team on the rise.

Wins over Mayo, Tyrone, Kildare and defending champions Armagh helped Tomás Mac an tSaoir’s side to a third-place finish in NFL Division 1.

They also advanced to the provincial decider by getting the better of a Cork team who eliminated them from Brendan Martin Cup contention last year with a ten-point win at the quarter-final stage.

Murray acknowledged: “We finished fourth in Munster last year so getting to a Munster final was huge progress for us.

“For there to only be two points in it against Kerry, and in the round-robin series it was only a point.

“Competing like that with the All-Ireland champions is absolutely where we want to be.”
