Feud revealed as Maura Higgins unfollows Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks after bitter split from Strictly star
MAURA Higgins has sensationally unfollowed Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks after her bitter split from the Strictly star.
In February, it was revealed that Maura, 34, and Pete, 37, ended their relationship after a series of fiery rows.

Then, at the start of March, the former Love Island and I’m A Celeb star was seen kissing Danny Jones amid their drunken kiss scandal at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
And now, in the fallout of this, Maura has removed herself from Olivia and Pete’s Instagram accounts.
The former Towie stars have unfollowed Maura too.
Olivia previously defended her pal Pete after Maura’s cheating jibe.
The TV star explained her “controversial” joke at the Brit Awards, telling fans: “I’m very protective of my friends.”
It came after Pete told MailOnline: “It’s hard for Sam Thompson tonight because I’ve got a new work wife. But, he’s not far away, he’s over there actually.”
He added: “It is a little bit weird because it feels like I am…”
“Cheating?” Olivia laughed, referencing Maura’s claims that Pete was “probably out cheating” on Valentine’s Day.
Pointing out she was making a joke of the situation, Olivia said: “Cheating’s not funny. Pete didn’t cheat. That is the joke. Hope that helps.”
She added: “Well I appreciate that you could read between the lines – I had to comment because A LOT of people couldn’t – because that’s not something I would find funny at all.
“And I’m just going to caveat that with with I’m very protective of my friends, but I don’t hate / have feuds / at war with anyone.
“You guys have seen my work schedule – I don’t have time to eat most days.”
Olivia added: “When I get up in my feelings I probably shouldn’t do coded Instagram Stories because then things get misconstrued. I’ll just say it with my chest in future if I’m upset.”
She was referring to a cryptic post she shared recently, claiming she had a secret that would “blow your f***ing mind.”
Olivia said: “One day I’m going to write a book and some of the stuff I have managed to keep [zipped mouth emoji] on over the years.
“It will blow your f***ing mind.
“You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah blah, but it will NEVER taste the same. That’s all.”
It was revealed earlier this year that reality TV duo Pete and Maura had split after a series of fiery rows.
Sources have since claimed that the ITV2 beauty called it quits after discovering her man was chatting with “loads” of girls online.
They had spent Christmas together after their six-year friendship turned romantic.
Now Irish model Maura is under fire for a “drunken kiss” with her married I’m A Celeb co-star Danny Jones at the Brits bash.
Pete Wicks and Maura Higgins' relationship timeline
Maura and Pete are believed to have met for the first time in 2019, following her stint on Love Island. She late said they “just clicked”.
In August 2024, the pair were spotted enjoying a lunch date together in London’s Soho.
The following month, Maura showed her support to Pete following the release of his book Never Enough: My Words Unfiltered. She wrote online: “Proud of you.”
In October, Pete appeared on Olivia Attwood’s podcast and was grilled about his romance with Maura. Olivia said: “Your dating life. Maura Higgins.” Pete replied: “Me and Maura have known each other for a long time.” Olivia told him she’d seen a photo of them kissing.
Maura spoke briefly about Pete on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast in the same month. She said: “We just get on very, very well. I adore him, he’s an amazing person.”
Later in October, Maura and Pete were spotted kissing and cuddling several times; once at the Pride Of Britain afterparty and again during a dinner date.
Maura jetted off to the jungle for I’m A Celebrity in November. But she continued to pretend nothing was going on. Maura told GK Barry: “No, I’m single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow. What’s the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?”
In December, Maura and Pete flew to Ireland and spent Christmas together. The pair broke cover and gave fans a glimpse inside their cosy lake house.
Just weeks later, Pete told The Times that he was “s*** scared” of settling down. He also appeared in Loose Women in February and spoke about his fears of commitment.
On February 14, Valentine’s Day, it was reported that Pete and Maura had split up.

Up to 200 Poundland stores at risk of closure amid major restructuring plan in a bid to ‘survive’ on the high street
A POPULAR affordable retailer could be facing mass store closures.
In a bid to ensure the company’s future, a major restructuring plan is reportedly in the works.

The consequences of this plan could include mass store closures and steep rent cuts for discount retailer Poundland.
Since being put up for auction in March of this year, the bidding war has been whittled down to investors Hilco and Gordon Brothers.
A decision on which investor will take over is set to be announced in the coming days.
Pepco has previously said it expects the sale of Poundland to be completed by September.
New investors will take on the restructuring plan being led by managing director Barry Williams.
Barry previously left the company two years ago but was brought back to Poundland’s board of directors earlier this year amid growing financial concerns.
It is expected to cost £70m to £100 million to stabilise the company as it struggles with declining sales.
The Telegraph reported that the company has already identified hundreds of stores for rent reductions and possible closures ahead of a possible sale.
Between 150 and 200 stores of the company’s 800 stores are thought to have been earmarked for immediate closure.
There is also speculation that the retailer will impose rent reductions on landlords between 10 and 50 per cent.
At other locations, they will pull out of agreements entirely, dependent on a judge’s approval as part of the court-sanctioned restructuring scheme.
It is uncertain what will happen to the retailer’s 16,000 staff.
Owners of Poundland, Pepco, cited “highly challenging trading conditions” as the reason behind its sales dropping 6.5% to £830.8 million in the six months to March 31.
A Pepco Group spokesperson said: “The focus of the Group and advisers is currently on a potential sale of Poundland. This is an ongoing process, and no final decisions have been taken.”
It comes as the chain is set to close two branches later this month.
Poundland’s Bristol branch is set to close on June 20, while its Flint store will shut up shop on June 21.
An additional eight stores have closed since the start of May, while a further 12 have shut since March 2024.
Another five are earmarked for closure from June 11.
This has affected branches in major cities like Liverpool and Ipswich, leaving retailers disappointed.
This is the full list of stores that have closed, or are set to close in the coming months:
- Connswater Shopping Centre, Belfast – closed March 2024
- Macclesfield – closed August, 2024
- Maidenhead – closed October, 2024

I’m the world’s most viral person for being a meme – trolls say I look like a granny, people I know are worst offenders
AN actress who played an Oompa Loompa at the farcical Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience has opened up on the relentless trolling she still faces – with some comparing her to a granny.
Kirsty Paterson, 30, has enjoyed very positive publicity on opportunities in the year since the Glasgow event.

She’s landed talkshow interviews across the globe, booked acting gigs and even makes money from fan videos.
But she says becoming a viral meme has led to continued criticism over her appearance.
Photos of Kirsty looking glum with a costume and green hair went viral after last February’s flop.
Outraged punters had forked out £35 for tickets only to be ushered into a sparsely-decorated warehouse.
And Kirsty – dubbed the ‘sad Oompa Loompa’ – was trolled for her part in the event, which was shut down by police.
In a recent TikTok video, Kirsty claimed: “I’m probably the most viral person in the whole world for being a meme.
“Basically I did a really bad acting job, someone took a picture of it. Next thing I know I went on every single social media channel, news channel all over the world.
“It was supposed to just be a bit of fun, extra money and I didn’t think an awful picture of me would have completely changed my life. In both ways, good and bad. It’s just been a wild journey.
“Some of the constant issues I actually deal with [are] the trolling and the cyber bullying that goes on.”
She continued: “When I became a viral meme you get criticised for the way you look, you get hateful comments chucked at yourself online.
“It can be a group of people, it can be an individual person. It actually comes a lot of the time from people you know, people you know in your past.
“And this is something I experience every week. It was just the comments on my looks, saying I looked like an old woman, meth addict, told I need a facelift, I’ll never get a man, I was ugly and that I should die. A lot of people told me to kill myself.
“This random person I was friends with five years ago who I don’t even think about anymore and I’ve cut off for a reason. They just come back and when I’m doing better for myself, they are slaughtering my posts.”
Singleton Kirsty also revealed that “dating is very difficult” as guys think they can say what they want about her because of her viral fame.
She added: “But I think all celebrities or some influencers or someone who’s randomly became a meme all go through this and it’s difficult. it’s something I’m still getting very much used to.
“And it’s a big issue because I think everyone’s maybe experienced this on some sort of level but I’ve just experienced it on a global [scale].”
5p hack gardeners swear by to get rid of black fly that’s plaguing your plants this summer & it works overnight
WITH warmer weather on the horizon, intrepid gardeners might be struggling with the infestation of bugs it could bring.
As aphids (greenfly or blackfly) threaten to damage your garden, there is a 5p hack that gardeners swear by to tackle the problem.

The UK is home to nearly 500 species of aphids – a tiny sap-sucking bug that visits during the warmer months.
These hungry bugs vary in colour from green and black to include yellow, brown, and orange – ranging in size from one to seven millimetres long.
While they are particularly prevalent in the summer, they can survive year round in warmer environments like greenhouses and conservatories.
Different species are drawn to different plants meaning if you have one infestation, it might not spread to the rest of your plants.
Having small numbers of aphids is not necessarily a bad thing – they are a vital part of the ecosystem – however large numbers of the bug could weaken and prevent growth in younger plants.
Weakened plants might need to be destroyed if infected with a virus – shown by mottled, streaked or distorted foliage, and weak growth – to prevent it spreading.
It can also cause wider problems with the ‘honeydew’ they leave behind.
This sticky substance can become infested with black mould, preventing the plant from photosynthesising and restricting its growth.
Gardeners are advised to regularly check their plants for aphids, particularly under the leaves, and for signs of honeydew.
Predators like birds might help tackle a small infestation, or hand-squashing might be a cheap solution.
However, some gardeners swear by a cheap and easy alternative to get rid of the pests – dishwasher liquid.
Green thumbs can mix their dishwasher liquid with water before spraying it onto the plants.
This homemade alternative provides a cheap way to get rid of the infestation, without the need for harmful insecticides.
Gardeners are encouraged to use eco detergents and a very weak solution to prevent wider ecological damage.
If you don’t want to make a spray at home, you can also buy organic, chemical-fee sprays which are made with plant extracts, plant oils and soft soap.
These have fewer harmful consequences for the wider environment.
To use these sprays, aim directly at the aphids and re-apply somewhat frequently.
Those looking for a more immediate solution might turn to insecticide, but it is important to bear in mind that this risks killing other insects that could help with plant growth.
If bees and butterflies access the insecticide through the flowers, it could kill them as well as the targeted aphids.
Insecticide run off could also enter the soil which risks harming bugs and further disrupting your garden’s ecosystem.
According to Gardeners World: “We recommend letting nature take its course: let birds, ladybirds and hoverflies control aphids unless there is a huge infestation and then remove them by hand or with an organic spray.
“There should be no need to ever use chemical insecticides in the garden.”
