ANGE POSTECOGLOU has already had interest from other clubs since his ruthless Spurs axing – but may take some time out before getting back into management.
The Aussie, 59, was brutally shown the door by Daniel Levy earlier this month, just 16 days since ending Tottenham’s 17-year trophy drought with their Europa League triumph.

Thomas Frank is the North Londoners’ No.1 choice as their next manager, with Spurs currently in negotiations with Brentford over compensation.
It is thought that the Dane would like to bring star forward Bryan Mbeumo with him to North London.
Postecoglou, meanwhile, is understood to have been sounded out by clubs in England and on the continent already.
But the former Celtic treble-winner, who is enjoying some time with his family, is happy not to rush any decision over his future.
That does not rule out a quick return to management, however, should the right opportunity present itself.
Postecoglou, who has won trophies in the second season of every post he has had where he has lasted that long in the role, is believed to fancy another crack at the Premier League.
The Aussie was given the boot on June 6, which was exactly two years to the day since Tottenham announced his appointment in 2023.
Some had suggested that date might be related to some sort of clause in the deal.
Ange Breaks Silence On Tottenham Sacking
ANGE Postecoglou issued a statement just moments after being axed.
It read: “When I reflect on my time as manager of Tottenham Hotspur, my overriding emotion is one of pride.
“The opportunity to lead one of England’s historic football clubs and bring back the glory it deserves will live with me for a lifetime.
“Sharing that experience with all those who truly love this club and seeing the impact it had on them is something I will never forget.
“That night in Bilbao was the culmination of two years of hard work, dedication and unwavering belief in a dream.
“There were many challenges to overcome and plenty of noise that comes with trying to accomplish what many said was not possible.
“We have also laid the foundations that means this club should not have to wait 17 more years for their next success.
“I have enormous faith in this group of players and know there is much more potential and growth in them. I sincerely want to thank those who are the lifeblood of the club, the supporters.
“I know there were some difficult times, but I always felt that they wanted me to succeed and that gave me all the motivation I needed to push on.
“It’s important to acknowledge the hard working people at Spurs who gave me encouragement on a daily basis.
“And finally, I want to thank those who were with me every day for the last two years.
“A fantastic group of young men who are now legends of this football club and the brilliant coaches who never once doubted we could do something special.
“We are forever connected. Audere est Facere.”
But SunSport understands that was not the case at all and the fact the axe was swung on that date was a complete coincidence.
Postecoglou left Spurs having won 47 of his 101 matches in all competitions.
However, he did lose a staggering 34 of his 76 Premier League games.

THE date a €160 or €285 payment for Irish parents will land into bank accounts has been confirmed.
And those eligible for the payment, which officially opened for applications last week, have been urged to apply before it’s too late.
The Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is designed to help parents cover the cost ofchildrenreturning to school.
It is expected to be paid out in the week starting on July 7th.
Last year, Back to School Clothing and Footwear payments totalling €57.04m were made to more than 149,500 families in respect of 264,400 qualified children.
It is expected that a similar number will benefit from the scheme this year.
But those who haven’t been notified of the payment on their MyWelfare account or through post by today could miss out on the lump sum.
And applications for the payment will close until next year on September 30.
Those who apply for the cash later in the summer will receive the payment later than others.
The payment is €160 for children aged between four and 11 years old.
Parents will receive a €285 payment for children aged between 12 and 22 – but those over 18 must be returning to full-time second level education in the autumn of 2025 in order to be eligible.
Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary last year confirmed that the BSCFA will not cover extra costs parents face ahead of the school year.
When asked by Sinn Fein TD Louise O’Reilly if he is aware that many parents rely on back to school payments for help to pay for iPads or other devices used in the classroom, he confirmed the allowance only covers clothing and footwear.
But the Fianna Fail TD said parents may be eligible to apply for other social welfare payments.
Calleary said: “Applications for financial support which fall outside the rules and timeframe of the scheme may be considered for an Additional Needs Payment under the Supplementary Welfare Allowance scheme.
Any person who considers they may have an entitlement to an Additional Needs Payment is encouraged to contact their local Community Welfare Service.”
WHO QUALIFIES?
Those who are eligible for BSCFA must be getting a Child Support Payment, previously called an Increase for a Qualified Child, with your payment – but there are exceptions to this rule.
Those who don’t receive the Child Support Payment must still be getting a qualifying social welfare payment to claim BSCFA.
If this is not the case, you can still claim BSCFA if your spouse or partner’s income is over the specified limit for your payment, but your overall household income is within the BSCFA income limits.
QUALIFYING PAYMENTS
THERE a number of social welfare payments that are treated as a qualifying social welfare payment for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance.
The BSCFA is a means tested, once off, lump sum payment given to those who meet the criteria.
The weekly income limit for BSCFA is €694 for a family with one child, but this amount increases by €62 for each additional dependent child.
All dependent children, including those over 18 in third level education, will be counted when applying the income limit.
When assessing income from wages, the DSP looks at income before tax – but PRSI and a standard travel allowance of up to €20 each week is not included.
Savings, investments, shares and property – but not your own home – are also assessed as part of the means test.

JOHN Mullane has warned Cork’s panel that they may have inadvertently supplied Limerick with “a lot of fuel” with their pub sing-song.
A video of players singing a mocking song about Limerick following their Munster final triumph has been widely circulated on social media.
XManager Pat Ryan is visible in the video though he is not seen singing along[/caption]
@IndoSportMullane’s media work also includes co-commentary for Saturday/Sunday Sport on RTE Radio 1[/caption]
Most people have dismissed it as harmless banter that is commonplace when any team beats a rival in a major final.
Mullane shares this view but did caution that there may be an unintended consequence to come from it in the form of extra motivation for Limerick should they meet for a third time this summer.
Speaking on the Indo GAA podcast, the Waterford great gave his take on how much it does or doesn’t matter.
He said: “Just watching the celebrations after the match, I think the Limerick players were going in and Kiely called them back, and he got the whole Limerick players to sit through the celebrations.
“You’re even seeing some of the videos circulating…
“Now it’s fantastic to see the Cork players and management celebrating in the manner in which they are, and they’re fully entitled to celebrate.
“To win a Munster Championship is so hard, you should rightly celebrate it in the manner in which it deserves to be celebrated.
“But if you’re a Limerick player and you’re on that Limerick management team, you’re watching those celebrations.
“And you’re seeing some of those videos circulating around, knowing that we should’ve won that match, I can only imagine how peed off some of those Limerick players were Saturday night.
“There’s a lot of fuel there now, there’s a lot of fuel now there that they can go and use in their favour.
“It’s just set up lovely if these teams meet in six weeks’ time.”
The Rebels’ collective mood was sure to have been particularly jubilant on Saturday night since they’d been walloped by 16 points when the two sides had met just 20 days previously.
Once again the Gaelic Grounds was the venue but this time around Pat Ryan’s charges were able to match the Treaty’s intensity throughout a frenetic 94 minutes of hurling warfare.
Ultimately, the contest was settled using the surreal method of a penalty shoot-out.
Similarly, the amount of injury time that was tacked on at the end of the second half of extra time continues to stir up arguments among Cork and Limerick supporters.
