Aaron Rodgers Wears Wedding Ring at Steelers Minicamp

Aaron Rodgers wore his wedding ring while throwing passes at the Pittsburgh Steelers minicamp before confirming he’d tied the knot.

The Steelers’ new quarterback, 41, flashed the black wedding band for photographers on Monday, June 11, in between snaps at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex in Pittsburgh.

He surprised the media later in the day by confirming that he’d gotten married “a couple months ago.” While Rodgers declined to confirm his wife’s identity at the time, he previously let slip that he was dating someone named Brittani while discussing his Christmas shopping on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show in December 2024.

“I used to enjoy a little outing over to the Bay Park mall in Wisconsin every now and then, but I actually ordered all of [my Christmas gifts] online this year,” Rodgers revealed at the time. “I was a little worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend, Brittani, that hadn’t showed up yet. So I’ve been waiting on this to show up and it showed up today.”

The Pat McAfee Show cohost AJ Hawk jokingly quizzed his former teammate on whether he was dating pop icon Britney Spears.

“Not Britney Spears, this is Brittani with an ‘I,’” he clarified, before declaring, “It’s a good feeling, boys.”

Rodgers first raised questions about his marital status in May when he was spotted wearing the black wedding band in public. Hawk confirmed shortly thereafter on The Pat McAfee Show that he’d attended a party with the couple at the Kentucky Derby.

“It was not a wedding party from what we knew,” Hawk said on The Pat McAfee Show in May. “To tell you the truth, I don’t know if I have any answers on that situation. He’s very private and mysterious when it comes to things like that, and this is definitely one of those, for sure.”

Rodgers previously dated Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017 and later was engaged to Shailene Woodley before the couple split up in 2022. He also dated former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020.

Last month, Patrick made candid comments about her tumultuous breakup with Rodgers while appearing on “The Sage Steele Show” podcast. She called the NFL star “emotionally abusive” and insisted their relationship “wore [her] down to nothing.”

“You know, when you live with somebody and it’s, like, your whole life,” Patrick, 43, said on the podcast. “It’s your dentist appointment, it’s your hairdo, it’s your clothes, it’s your mailing address. It’s, like, everything.”

Patrick recalled feeling as if everything in her life was “torn to bits” prior to the split, in addition to accusing Rodgers of leaving “trail of blood” after a breakup.

Rodgers has yet to address his ex-girlfriend’s latest comments, though he offered a more positive take of the relationship during an interview on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” in August 2022.

“I was dating Danica and that relationship was great for me because she is on her own journey and spirituality is important to her,” he said at the time. “We both were finding our way, learning about different things [and] practicing meditation techniques.”

Rodgers’ shocking marital announcement came two days after the NFL confirmed on Saturday, June 7, that he’d signed a one-year, $13.6 million contract with the Steelers.

“For my ego, I don’t need it to keep playing,” Rodgers told reporters at the Steelers minicamp. “A lot of decisions that I’ve made over my career and life from strictly the ego — even if they turn out well — are always unfulfilling. But the decisions made from the soul are usually pretty fulfilling.”

He went on, “So this was a decision that was best for my soul. I felt like being here with Coach T. [Mike Tomlin] and the guys they got here and the opportunity here was best for me. I’m excited to be here.”
