To Be Hero X has been delivering one masterpiece of an episode after another. The donghua has set itself apart even in the competitive anime environment. While some episodes offer breathtaking action scenes, some offer mindblowing twists, and others depend on emotional developments.
So far, the series hasn’t aired a single episode that can be considered a disappointment. Whether it is the story of Nice, E-Soul, or Lucky Cyan, every story is different,t and every twist is unexpected. The biggest surprise of them all is the fact that the series is created by an unusually large number of people, but still makes it work.
To Be Hero X makes the best out of a large team

To Be Hero X isn’t created by a single studio or a single team of animators. In fact, it has different studios working on different episodes. In an interview with Cocotame, the producers revealed that each episode is animated by a different animation studio. Some episodes are purely 2D, some are purely 3D, while most offer a seamless blend of both 2D and 3D scenes. This has set the story apart from anything that fans have watched so far.
And each of these animation styles is handled by various studios that work in tandem. The theatrical accompaniments, the music, and songs of each episode are also created by the writers who are in charge of each episode. This ensures that there are fresh surprises in each episode. It is almost impossible to make To Be Hero X in the style of a regular anime.
While the story is in an omnibus format, the stories of each hero are intertwined with those of others. Incidents that occur in each episode are influenced by individual stories and are written from different perspectives. The worldview is also well developed, with nothing that feels out of the blue.
To Be Hero X manages what most anime can’t

To Be Hero X is created by a vast team of animators, writers, directors, studios, etc. Yet, the story does not feel disconnected. The animation styles also smoothly blend with each other. Series that have different studios working on them mostly turn out to feel ragged, as the difference between each episode is too stark.
However, too many cooks did not spoil the broth in To Be Hero X. Instead, the different teams have collaborated to make everything look beautifully coherent. Despite the unique characters, designs, worldview, and story, it is impossible to tell that the series is being created by different teams. Even though it is an original donghua with no pre-published source material, no one has any issues understanding and implementing the plot.
There is no chaos, no clashes, and nothing to put off viewers. To Be Hero X has been planned perfectly ahead, and this sets it apart from most anime series. No matter how many people are in charge, the process is smooth, and the efforts converge to create a masterpiece of a donghua.
To Be Hero X anime is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
