Comedian William Last KRM recently returned to My Top 10 with Tbose for an exclusive sit-down.
Behind the humour and fame, his journey started in uncertainty. He revealed that he began creating content after failing school and not having a clear direction in 2017.
With no real plan, he picked up a camera simply to pass time. There was no team. Just him and a camera.
He spoke candidly about rejection shaping his journey.
“I was rejected my whole life, jobs-wise and life in general, I’ve been rejected by people, you know, certain stuff.”
He explained that even when opportunities seemed close, they often fell through.
“Let’s say I was in talks with a certain company and then it doesn’t go through. I’m used to disappointment since I was a kid.”
Instead of stopping, the rejection pushed him harder.
“You made me push more,” he said, reflecting on how those experiences shaped his independence and drive.
As his audience grew and recognition followed, new lessons emerged. One of the biggest came from the business side of content creation.
He admitted that early in his career, a manager priced him too high, which cost him opportunities. At the time, he was still building his audience. “I was not even half a million followers then,” he said.
“This guy was charging a whole estate… when you’re new, you need to build.”
Now, he warns upcoming creators about falling into the same trap.
