Speaking with InStyle, the singer revealed that the safety her current relationship afforded her was why her recent music could reflect on the people she had been with in the past. The person in question here is, of course, ex-Hype House resident and TikTok sensation Nick Austin.
Nick Austin and Madison Beer have been linked together as far back as 2020
As reported by People, Nick Austin and Madison Beer have been together since 2020, only becoming Instagram official a year later. The duo occasionally posts about their other halves, exchanging heartfelt words of encouragement and endearment on the platform.
Apart from the rare Instagram post, Beer and Austin have largely managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. Beer, speaking with InStyle, revealed that she has been slightly paranoid thanks to her online presence. She said (via People):
I think that I’m constantly looking over my shoulder. I think that it’s hard for me to trust people. I feel judged by people that I’ve just met, It’s definitely been a lot of undoing as I’ve gotten older, because growing up, it was nothing but exciting.
However, Madison Beer has kept her personal life out of the spotlight. This does not deter her from appearing on Austin’s YouTube channel once in a while, and as mentioned before, there are posts that the duo has made regarding one another.
Nick Austin has a thriving YouTube and TikTok career
As People reported in April, Nick Austin has over 9 million TikTok followers and about 471,000 subscribers on his YouTube account. His channel has seen Madison Beer appear as an occasional cameo from time to time.
The internet sensation was also an inhabitant of Hype House, a collection of some of the most famous YouTube and Instagram stars sharing a living space in Los Angeles. Former residents include the likes of Addison Rae, Charli D’Amelio, and Dixie D’Amelio.
For much of 2020 and 2021, Austin took a step back from social media, owing to being overwhelmed, which he clarified in a YouTube video. He said:
I got really overwhelmed by social media and everything I was doing to be viewed by millions of people,” he explained. “I didn’t know how to balance my personal life.
Austin revealed that he had moved to L.A. on a whim and had no idea what awaited him when he started his journey to become an actor. However, he quickly realized that social media was a better choice for him than acting, which he pursued and now boasts a sizeable audience.
