5 Anime Michael B. Jordan Could Nail as Live-Action Adaptations

Michael B. Jordan has become the internet’s favorite man, and who could question that? From his passion for the craft of acting, directing, and all things cinema to his great looks, the man has garnered great attention from fans over the past few years. Apart from the movie lovers, anime fans are also intrigued by the actor due to his fondness for the medium.

He has shared his interest in many mainstream series like Hajime No Ippo and Naruto. Recently, he expressed interest in live-action anime adaptations, and that needs to be discussed!

5 live-action anime adaptations that are perfect for Michael B. Jordan

Known best for his exemplary acting skills, Michael B. Jordan is also a director. So, when he mentioned his interest in live-action anime adaptations, does he simply wish to direct one or act in one as well?

Whichever one it is, he is highly likely to understand the cultural essence of anime and do justice to it as a director. As an actor, here are five mainstream anime series that the actor would be great in.

5. My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia has a huge cast and the perfect character for Michael B. Jordan is undeniably All for One. While All for One might not be feisty enough, his manipulation and evil make him intriguing. How will that menace and intimidation come across when an actor like Michael B. Jordan is playing it?

The actor will need to tone down how assertive and strong his presence is. It would require great control, which if done right, could turn into a performance of lifetime.

My Hero Academia is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.

4. One Punch Man

One Punch Man has many great characters, who are extremely strong, but the one who’s perfect for Michael B. Jordan is King. King’s duality makes him interesting. While his appearance gives off the impression that he’s extremely strong and cool, his thoughts tell a different tale.

It would require great skill to convey his duality. To be the strongest and the most intimidating man, while shivering in fear internally. Michael B. Jordan’s exceptional acting skills and King’s well-written characterization is a combination that we need to witness.

One Punch Man is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.

3. Berserk

Guts’ physique and his broodiness are crucial for his characterization. Every time he gets enraged in Berserk, he’s terrific. The physical implications of his anger might be difficult to play in a live-action adaptation. The challenge can motivate the actor to emote his anger in an equally impressive manner.

Guts isn’t the kind of character who shares his hurt with others, his suffering is unsaid but still apparent. Michael B. Jordan has great dialogue delivery, which makes one wonder how he’d play Guts’ complex emotions without words. The actor is also hyper-masculine, which is a huge reason he’s perfect to play Guts.

Berserk manga is currently available on the Dark Horse Digital Comics website.

2. Jujutsu Kaisen

Similar to Guts, Hakari from Jujutsu Kaisen is very masculine, albeit in a completely different way. He is a complete package. He’s crazy, he’s strong, and he has a colorful personality. His passion for gambling is just another one of his many flairs.

The actor is extremely talented and it’d be a joy to watch him bring Hakari’s unhinged self to life. Also, the Hakari dance will be a great bonus addition to the otherwise fun mix!

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.

1. Bleach

Kenpachi Zaraki is tailor-made for someone like Michael B. Jordan. The character is fierce, cool, and extremely violent. The actor would require so much energy to bring Zaraki to life. Once he fully understands the character, it would be a delight to watch him unleash that wrath.

More delicate moments like Zaraki’s showdown with Unohana are emotionally challenging. To convincingly portray a man like Zaraki in a vulnerable position would be a huge deal. However, the actor has proved that he’s capable of doing that and more.

Bleach is currently available to stream on Hulu.
