South Africa’s iconic, long-running entertainment and lifestyle TV programme, Top Billing, is returning to screens on Thursday, 30 April 2026 at 7pm on S3, formerly known as SABC3.
This marks the comeback season of the 27-year-old show, which went off air in 2019 after the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) cancelled it due to high production costs.
“After years off your screens… we’re finally back. #TopBilling returns, bigger, better, and by popular demand. From spectacular homes to inspiring stories, the show you love is ready to take its place back in your weekly lineup,” the show announced on social media.

According to S3, the new season will focus on young, urban, intelligent and culturally aware South Africans who are shaping the future through collaboration, creativity and innovation.
“Anchored by strong lifestyle pillars, the show will explore how people live, express themselves and connect with culture, celebrating a vibrant way of life that feels both aspirational and attainable,” the channel said in a press release.
Managing Director of Cardova Productions and Executive Producer of Top Billing, Patience Stevens, said she is incredibly excited to bring the show back to South African screens.
“This show has always been about celebrating what’s possible. Bringing it back now, at a time when inspiring local stories matter more than ever, feels incredibly special. We’re honouring the legacy while creating something that feels fresh, relevant and deeply connected to today’s audience,” she said.
While past presenters, including Basetsana Khumalo, Dr Michael Mol, Dr Fezile Mkhize, Jonathan Boyton-Lee and Ryle De Morny, are featured in the current promo, the channel has confirmed to Kaya 959 that the official presenters will be revealed on Tuesday, 21 April.
The show will also have repeats every Sunday at 1pm on S3 and be rebroadcast on Tuesdays at 9:30pm on SABC1.
