Synopsis
During the Republican era, Zhu Luoli, the heiress of the Zhu Family Medicated Soap business, was married off to the military governor Song Huainan. On their wedding day, Song Huainan colluded with the Yao Family to massacre her entire family. She narrowly escaped death and, after undergoing plastic surgery to assume the identity of the Yao Family’s daughter, married Song Huainan again to exact her revenge. She won over Song Qingzhou, the second young master of the Song Family, and helped him find his mother, Aunt Hong, who had been persecuted by Song Huainan.
In return, Song Qingzhou joined forces with her. Together, they first brought down the Yao Family, then stole Song Huainan’s treasonous treaty, stripping him of power, allowing Song Qingzhou to succeed him as military governor. Song Huainan’s father then revealed his past misdeeds, leading Song Huainan to a moment of awakening after which he committed suicide. In the end, Zhu Luoli revitalized the Zhu family soap business, and she and Song Qingzhou found happiness together, jointly safeguarding Jiangcheng.
