MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday assured the public that the government is implementing measures to cushion the impact of the Middle East conflict on oil prices, including cash and fuel subsidies and the urgent certification of bills to reduce excise taxes on petroleum products and amend the Biofuels Act of 2006.
