
MANILA, Philippines — Today, Feb. 27, is the fourth and final day of the confirmation of charges hearing on the crimes against humanity case filed against former President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court.
The hearing will proceed according to this schedule, using Philippine standard time:
First session
- 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Defense’s submissions on the merits (30 minutes)
- 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m – Prosecution’s closing statements (30 minutes)
- 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Break (30 minutes)
Second session
- 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Closing statements of the common legal representatives of the victimes (30 minutes)
- 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Defense’s closing statements (30 minutes)
- 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Break (90 minutes)
Third session
- 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Hearing on the review of detention (60 minutes)
