Synopsis
In the tightly knit coastal town of Nuanhai, the intricate web of acquaintances is shattered when a mysterious bag of drugs suddenly disappears, setting off a “suicide-style crime.”
Female detective Hu Wenjing is accidentally drawn into a drug deal gone wrong; Cheng Ken, an ordinary father, is willing to pay any price to save his daughter; Li Xiaoya, an ambitious young woman, is desperate to escape the confines of small-town life; and Wang Ping is consumed by drugs and led down a dark path.
As desire and greed spin their cocoon, they entangle everyone in a fierce confrontation between justice and human nature.
