Brian Poe and Ukrainian envoy meet, foster bilateral ties

FPJ Panday Bayanihan Congressman Brian Poe met with Ukrainian Ambassador Yuliia Fediv to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding areas of cooperation between Ukraine and the Philippines.

During their discussion, both sides explored potential bilateral connections in agriculture, labor, and humanitarian assistance. They also underscored the importance of establishing inter-parliamentary cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Embassy of Ukraine to further enhance diplomatic engagement and collaboration between the two countries, in time for the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly 2026 chaired by House Speaker Bojie Dy.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Fediv, together with Col. Andrii Bilenkyi, Ukraine’s Defense Attaché, joined Congressman Poe in reaffirming avenues for constructive engagement.
