PREMIUM audio brand JBL recently staged the third edition of the JBL Golf Cup, bringing together partners from media, distributors and dealers for a day of competition and networking at The Orchard Golf and Country Club.
The annual event, which has become a fixture in JBL’s local calendar, underscored the company’s efforts to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders while positioning the brand at the intersection of sport, lifestyle and consumer technology.
The tournament opened with a ceremonial tee-off led by Harman Philippines Country Head Larry Secreto alongside company partners Hans Kenneth Tan, Stanley Lo, Hermogenes Esperon, Sonny Coloma, Rocky Nazareno, Jun Farcon, Bobby Zamora and Celso Montalla.
A mixed field of seasoned golfers and amateur players competed across the Orchard’s championship layout, with separate divisions for media and guest participants.In the Media division, Max De Leon topped Class A, Gerald Tan won Class B, and Jordan Tan ruled Class C. Ryan Rizada led the Guest Class A winners, while Larry Secreto claimed the Class B title and Allan Cristobal prevailed in Class C. Carla Pena won the Ladies division.
Kenn Padua captured low gross honors, while Renny Domingo won the longest drive contest. Joel Orduna claimed the most accurate shot award and Arlan Sallan took nearest-to-the-pin honors.No player managed to hole out on the par-3 16th, where a Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle was offered as the hole-in-one prize. The motorcycle was instead raffled off to Edwin Rollon of the Manila Standard. Other raffle prizes included consumer electronics, golf merchandise and JBL audio products.JBL integrated its portable audio products into the tournament, with participants receiving JBL Grip speakers and additional units placed around the course to create what organizers described as a branded “sound on the greens” experience.“We are proud to see how the JBL Golf Cup continues to grow each year.
