Celebrated annually on 14 February, Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day honouring a martyr named Valentine.
Over the years, it has evolved into a global celebration of love and in South Africa celebrities marked the occasion in style.
Often dubbed “Lovers’ Day”, this year’s festivities saw South African stars serving flames on social media, giving fans a front-row seat to their romance-inspired photoshoots.
The shoot that truly got tongues wagging was that of rapper Nadia Nakai and musician Toss. The pair’s bold and intimate images left fans speculating whether the chemistry was for an upcoming music video or something more romantic. Either way, their striking visuals had social media buzzing.
Meanwhile, social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase also turned heads with a daring, red-themed photoshoot reportedly shot in Turkey and said to have cost thousands of rands.
